Rose

Principal powers took us to this completely white room. The door slid open and she stepped back to let us three in first.

Warren turned to protest her but she held her hand up "No. I don't want to hear it. You three will spend the rest of the day in here, this room eliminates all powers. Work whatever this is" She said referring to the little fight in the cafeteria.

With that she turned and walked out of the room. The door slid shut behind her. I sighed heavily and slumped down in the nearest seat.

Warren glared at Will and towered over him for a minute longer than sat down. Nobody said anything. "You two work this out." I said breaking the silence.

Warren scoffed. "Warren you can drop your shitty attitude. I'm not having any of it. Don't piss me off." I snapped back at him.

I felt my eyes change and my nails grow. My fangs protruded from my mouth. I dug my claws into the desk in front of me.

"Oh crap. Warren nice job." Will said nervously.

"Shut up stronghold!" He snapped back then he focused back on me.

"Fuck this." I threw the desk across the room. I slashed at the door leaving huge claw marks. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Will get up and back up away from me.

Suddenly someone had tackled me from behind to keep me from ripping the door off, Warren. I threw him off me and shifted into my wolf form. I growled deeply then threw myself at the door, busting it completely open.

I began to pad down the hallways. I growled at anyone in my way until I saw someone step in front of me. Yet again, Warren. I stood to my full height, towering over him. I bared my huge teeth.

Our eyes met and it felt euphoric. It's like time stopped. Why was I growling? I don't know. I don't growl at my mate.  I grabbed the back of his leather jacket like a pup and carried him. He struggled and I chuckled and then dropped him back in the white room where Will had surprisingly not moved from. I shifted back.

"My apologies for that little outburst." I laughed and fixed my ruffled shirt. Warren got up and glared at me. "You two make up. Now. Then we can all leave." Sighing Will quickly apologized and Warren nodded. I'll take that.

"How hard was that?" I laughed then walked out of the room.

"Rose! Why didn't the room work on you?" Warren quickly caught up to me. I shrugged honestly not knowing the reason. He nervously scratched the back of his head, "Can I uh- have your number?"

"Yeah, sure." I said writing it down on his hand. "You know I love intimating you when I shift, it's quite fun" I smiled. And at that moment the final bell rang, good timing.

Home
I walked in the door and gently set down my stuff. I crossed my fingers and hoped that my step father had gone off to another business trip. I nervously peeked around the corner to see him passed out on the couch with beer bottles around him.

I silently made my way to my room. I shut my door and breathed out a sigh of relief. I felt my pocket buzz and I took out my phone hoping that it's Warren, nope it's Layla.

L: 'Hey! Do you want to meet up at the Paper Lantern for dinner? Just me and you :)'

Me: 'Yeah sure!'

L: 'Be ready by 8!'

Me: 'I'll meet you at our bus stop!'

I smiled at my phone and set it down. Then began to pick out something to wear. I decided on some skinny jeans with my pastel converse and a cute floral top.

I quickly braided my hair and did my makeup. I checked the time. It read 7:53. I nodded and slid it into my back pocket. I carefully opened my door and made my way to the front door.

I looked to the couch to see if he was still asleep. No he was not. I looked around for him then suddenly I felt a tight grip on my arm. His alcohol filled breath waded into my nose. He pulled me close.

"Where the fuck do you think you're going?" He slurred.

"Beer run." I said hastily trying to make it seem as if I'm going to help him. He nodded then shoved me away making me hit the wall beside me.

I rubbed the spot on my arm where he was grabbing me. I quickly grabbed my purse and practically ran outside.

I saw Layla looking around and then she spotted me.

"Rose! Hey!" She exclaimed.

"Layla!" I smiled and we hugged upon my arrival then I noticed she was leaned up against a car.

"My mom let me borrow her car" she said shyly.

"Awesome!"

"Onward! Food awaits!" She laughed and we climbed
Into the car and began to drive to the Paper Lantern. We climbed out and got seated. I looked down at my arm briefly to see the familiar fingerprint bruises forming. I sighed and kept my arm slightly behind me.

Layla and I began casual conversation.

"So, who do you like?" She winked at me.

"Nobody" I blushed.

"Rose! Don't you dare lie to me" she smirked.

"Well maybe a boy namedddd" I extended my answer and she just made a hurry gesture with her hands. "War-" then from across the room no other than Warren Peace was standing there. His perfect hair in a bun and-- "speak of the devil" I muttered.

Layla looked so shocked. "You and Peace!?!" She practically yelled.

"Shhh!" I screamed back. I suppose he heard me because he turned around and faced our table and began to walk over towards us. I huffed and have Layla a 'nice job' look .

"Rose? What are you doing here?" He said in his deep silky voice.

"Eating obviously." I sassed. Layla kicked me from underneath the table. Awesomely our food arrived at that time.

"I'll uh- let you guys eat." He stuttered out and turned to leave and then I saw his eyes glance to my arm. I pulled it back and looked down. They sat our food down and we thanked them and dug in.

"YOU FLUSTERED WARREN FREAKING PEACE!" Layla yelled.

"SHUT UP" I yet again yelled back. She smirked up at me as she was eating a mouthful of noodles.

Warren

Her laugh, her attitude, gosh her hair. Everything is amazing about her. I couldn't help but stare at her as she replied to me.

Quite obviously she was here to eat but still. She makes me so flustered.

I awkwardly moved and said a quick goodbye so they could eat but then I noticed a bruise forming on her arm. The size of a hand.

I gritted my teeth and walked off. Someone did this to my girl, I bet it was the bastard that broke her shoulder and gave her all those bruises. I noticed Layla grabbing her purse and Rose as well.

They began to walk to the front of the restaurant. I walked swiftly--okay yeah I ran to Rose. I gently grabbed her arm and began to say "Rose you should text me--" when her head snapped back to meet my eyes.

The look of fear on her face made me sick. She jerked her arm from me and gestured for Layla to begin walking out of the restaurant.

My girl, is scared of me.
