Unburied Lies

Flashbacks

I was buried in so many lies, so many secrets, it's like my whole life was a lie. I can no longer trust anyone or whatever they say. Just when things starts to make sense or start to clear up another lie or another secret gets unburied and everything I believed turns out to be a lie.....

I pulled all my hair into a ponytail and looked at my reflection in the mirror. My icy blue eyes, the black bags that hung under my eyes from the lack of sleep, my pink full lips. My memory still hazy but the memories from 2 years ago drift in.

'We need you too...'

Crash! The wooden doors swung open. 3 wolves walked in. I could tell by the smell the brown one was my brother.

'I knew we would find you here Skylar' my brothers voice harsh and raspy.

'Why are you here!' My voice wasn't this quiet little, helpless girl it was harsh and loud.

'Same reason you are..we were called here..'

'What!' I turned around 'You invited them here!' I yelled at the council.

'We need both of your help the 2 strongest clans will need to work together Miss Skylar!'

'Just stay out of my way!' I said coming face to face with my brother.

'Now what do we need to do? I'm tired of waiting!

'Alumit and Carden are forming their clans again and they won't be able to control their black blood. They will join together and destroy every clan there is. They have something up their sleeves something that is out of our control. That is more powerful then any werewolf. We need you to find out what it is and stop it!'

I walked into my office and there sat the scroll I had found the day after seeing the council. I rolled it out it was a map to Alumit and Carden's lands exits, entrances, fast escape routes. We currently had them on watch. Guards watching every person in those clans.

My alarm went off indicating it was 5:30 pm. I rolled up the map and grabbed my jacket and headed out the door.

The late fall breeze blowing, stirring up leaves that had landed on the ground, but the red, yellow, and orange leaves decorated the tresses. I stared at the trees but broke that stare when I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"The leaves are truly beautiful aren't they?" Alex, my older twin brother said.

"Yes they are." I whispered.

"It's almost time, Skylar." I nodded my head. Almost time..great.

"Well let's get going. Where is Nathan and Blake?" Nathan and Blake also twins like Alex and I.

"By the river, want me to go get them?"

"Sure meet me in the conference room okay?" He nodded his head before running off.

I sat at the head of the table Alex to my left and Blake to my right.

"Is everybody here?" I counted people as they came in. Victoria, Scarlet, Nathan, Blake, Alex, and I.

"Okay now that everybody is here let's get down to business. Victoria and Blake report on Alumit?"

"Suspicious reports of people sneaking out of their house past midnight, alpha." Victoria said standing up.

"If I may offer a suggestion we could set a curfew for them?" Nathan said.

"Maybe, but anything else?"

"No mam." Victoria said sitting down.

"What about Carden, Scarlett and Nathan?"

"They have been finding scraps of metal using them for something, we don't know what yet."

"Yes, a curfew seems the best. They must be inside their houses at exactly 9:00 pm till 8:00 am. Anyone found outside their house will be killed on sight. We can't let them forget they are under watch we don't want them to do what we are trying to prevent, understand?" Everyone nodded their heads.

"Now anything else anyone wants to bring up?"

"Alpha Skylar I have spotted another wolf on the outskirts of out territory. When I tried to comfort the wolf it ran off." Scarlet said pointing where on the map that hung on the wall.

"Alex and I will check the territory, but if I may ask what color was this wolf?"

"Pure white mam." I nodded my head.

"Meeting dismissed." Everybody got up and left.

I stood up and looked out the window the size of a wall. Between the line of trees stood a white wolf from the size it's was a guy. We stared at each other my blue eyes staring back into his green eyes.

"Who are you?" I said to myself a barely whisper. The smell coming off the wolf was a strong sent, but is smelled so good. He just stood there not moving you could mistake him for a statue that's how lifeless and still he looked.

I ran outside I wanted to know who he was. As soon as I shifted he sprinted off I chased him, but he was faster. I chased him off my territory. He stood right in front of my territory he slowly turned around and joined a smaller brown wolf with the same green eyes.

Why do they look so familiar? Who are these wolves? I needed to know.

'Skylar I'm sorry.' A voice like velvet, soft and comforting. It was coming from the white wolf.

'Who are you?'

'You'll have to find that out on your own.' He said before the brown wolf and him ran off.

I laid in my bed staring at the ceiling. I turned on my side staring at the red numbers telling me it was 3:15 am.
I let out a sigh as I got out of bed.

I walked into my bathroom flicking on the lights and turning the shower on. I pulled my clothes off and stepped into the warm water. I let it run against my back giving me goose bumps. I leaned against the marble wall, closing my eyes letting the water run on me.

'A girl and a boy sat on a bench staring at the sunset. They way they sat holding hands you could tell they were madly in love with each other.

The boy looked nervous. You could tell from the way his cheeks were bright red and they way he gripped the bench.

The girl sat there gracefully, her hair blowing in the wind, a smile glued to her face. She was happy.

"Um I have something to tell you?" The boy said scratching the back of his neck.

"What?" The girl said taking her eyes off of the sun and placing them on his. The smile never breaking.

"Will you Skylar Kieran become my Luna?" The boy said blushing a deep red.

The girl nodded her head tears staining her cheeks. The boy smiled sweetly and kissed where her tears had ran.'

I jolted breaking me out of my flash back.

"Connor....."
