Calloused hands are working hands
Soft hands are well kept hands
Adult hands are for holding baby hands
Baby hands are for grabbing
For grabbing their parents hands
Or what interests them
The hands that hold you are important
But
The hands that don’t hold you
They are more important
The hands that never held me as a baby
Changed me
Even as a baby
The hands that never hold and the ones that do
It isn’t important because
it still shapes you
