In an Endless Sea [Chapter XXXII: LEO]

Chapter XXXII

LEO

After the meeting I decided to go somewhere quiet to relax.

Why?

Jason and Percy were fighting.

That was really intense.

They should be our leaders and seeing them fight is not really lifting our spirits about this whole quest.

I pulled Calypso out of the dining hall.

Where we're heading?

I'm not so sure.

We kept walking until we reached the part of the deck where we are hidden. I was not planning to hide but I heard to people talking.

I pulled Calypso closer to me abd gave her a soft "shhhh" she just looked at me but she kept quiet.

I didn't mean to eavesdrop but hearing that voice made me curious especially when the voice was nico's. I mean he doesn't talk a lot and now he is talking to a child of Bellona. Reyna and Nico was talking to each other.

Is the apocalyps coming? Or are we going to die tomorrow on Gaea's hands? I'm not sure.

"I used to like Percy too. But you know what they say, you can't have everything you want. I think I have to work on liking Octavian if I'm gonna be working with him." I heard Reyna speak.

So that's why she wanted to kill Annabeth back in Rome. She wanted Percy to herself. I wonder what kept her from destroying Annabeth, perhaps she's still not out of her mind to do such thing.

"What?! Liking Octavian?! No. Reyna, that's criminal. You'll hate yourself in the process." Well, now, that is what I call, advancing manuever. I didn't know Nico could be that straight forward. I mean he's so quiet you wouldn't even suspect him having a conversation with Reyna or pretty much anybody else.

Well, the conversation pretty much led to Nico volunteering to be Reyna's boyfriend.

Woaaah, wait. WHAT?! Nico as Retna's boyfriend?

Holy Hephaestus.. Reyna might be planning his death.

I have to help my friend.

I was ready to run to Nico's aid but Calypso pulled my hand and pointed at something.

I looked where she was pointing and saw Reyna walking.

Was she smiling? I think my eyes are having problems. I can't see clear during the night and I almost thought Reyna could smile. She couldn't smile, could she.

I was so bothered into thinking Reyna is smiling that I didn't notice she was now back where she'd left Nico.

Now I'm pretty sure he's going to get his dead cold butt whopped.

I watched halfheartedly. I can't just stand here and looked at my friend be killed no matter how creepy he was.

But what Reyna did next surprised me.

She gave Nico a kiss.

A kiss on the lips.

Surprisingly Nico was pretty much alive and Reyna was really smiling.

Reyna turned to leave and Calypso pulled me somewhere far from the deck.

Until we reached the stables.

I looked around to see if Reyna followed us.

But no one was there.

"I'm not so sure how that didn't get Nico killed." I said with my eyes wide open in disbelief.

"Maybe because they love each other." Calypso said dreamily. She's acting so lovestruck.

She looked cute. Though, thinking about Reyna and Nico kissing was really terrifying.

"Yeah, love. That's possible. Yeah." I said trying to convince myself.

"Hey, I didn't think I'd love you too. But guess what I did." She said while she's trying hard not to pout.

Is she really a goddess? I mean she's pretty and all. Really fit to be a goddess but she's acting like she hasn't lived for centuries. She's acting my age, which is cute actually.

"Hey, we're different." I moved closer to her and hugged her and looked at her face intently.

"How are we different?" She asked while she laid her head on my chest.

I was thinking hard for an answer but I guess I don't have to, because when I looke at her she was already asleep.

"I didn't think you'd fall asleep in my arms." I said while I kissed her forehead.

I never really thought of having her like this. Of being this close to her.

Honestly, I never thought I'd see her again but thank the gods she's with me right now.

"I'd give everything to have you by my side forever." I whispered in her ears.

"I'd give everything to stay like this for the rest of my life." Again I whispered.

I may look like a total fool talking to her while she's asleep but I don't care.

I was looking at her.

Close.

So close.

Maybe just an inch from her forehead.

Then she looked up.

Her lips touched my lips.

Not like it's the first time but her sweet lips still takes my breath away.

"I love you, Leo." She said underneath breaths. She was panting.

That was a long kiss.

It literally took our breaths away.

"I love you too, Calypso." Then I sat down and made her lie her head down on my legs.

I decided that we sleep on the stables.

Percy and Annabeth did it. They got in trouble but who cares. Were gonna battle dirt face tomorrow anyway, it wouldn't hurt if we enjoyed the night a little.

I leaned towards the door of the stables and made myself comfortable.

After that I drifted to sleep.

No dreams.

Just black scene.

No sound.

Just dead silence.

It was peaceful.

Weird.
