friend zoned...

Okay so the Toyman situation didn't go as planned. National City is way to big for a newbie like me.

"Cisco?" I shouted into the bolt

"Yeah man?" He replied

"Any coordinates?"

"Sorry all I got was you getting lost. Ha was gonna warn you but you actually not knowing where to go is much more hilarious."

"Oh my god. You didn't tell me! I would have gone home and tried again sooner. Come on. Your the Vibe"

"I'm sorry! Just meet me in our apartment."

"Almost there."

"Where are you actually"

"Currently in the desert"

"Barry, it's Caitlin. Get back here now. There's something you might want to know." Caitlin interrupted

"Caitlin!" Cisco shouted at her and I hung up on them. I guess this was important.

As I made my way into the apartment, a bunch of research papers went flying everywhere.

"What'd I miss?" I asked closing the door behind me.

"Look at these two addresses" Caitlin said holding out two sheets of paper.

"Oh yeah one of them is us. Who's the other. Who lives next door..."

"I did a little research and it turns out, your Kara Danvers, lives righttt" she tried to let me guess but I was stumped

"Next door!" Cisco shouted

I just stood there. This was both great and terrible. A) I could actually bump into we by accident sometime and maybe become friends again. B) would be terrible because im pretty sure every one who knows me thinks in dead on this Earth. and C) I could get Cisco to introduce me to her. Maybe it would be less awkward?

"Oh well okay. Cisco, can you maybe go over there and introduce me. It might be less awkward" I asked of him

"Sure man" he smiled. He knew how much I wanted her back in my life.

We all stood up as walked over to her apartment door. We knocked. It took a while but then she came to the door.

"I'm sorry do I know you?"

"Hi my name is Cisco Ramon. These are my friends Caitlin Snow and um... Barry Allen."

"Oh my god. Barry?! But you're supposed to be dead! How are you still alive" Kara shouted confused walking back into her apartment to lay her drink on the counter.

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you."

"Oh I'm so sorry I forgot to introduce myself. Kara. Kara Danvers" she restated.

"Gotten better at that?" I questioned but she ignored it.

"You know what it's late and I really need some rest. Barry may I have a word in private."

"Sure."

"It was so nice to meet you. Maybe we will see each other soon" Kara said to the others as I followed her into her apartment. "Listen Barry, a LOT has changed since the twelfth grade. Not that seeing you isn't great and all but... How should I word this. Um. Well you see, a lot has been.."

"Kit"

"Barry. I've had some major stuff going on in the last few months and I don't think I'm ready for you to be a part of my life again. I cried at your funeral. And the entire week after. I'm just so confused on how you are in such great shape. Oh please don't tell me you were burried alive."

"No Kara. I was not buried alive. And you are still rambling."

"Either way the point is, maybe sometime in the future we can be really good friends again. But right now, can we just be neighbours that say Hi every now and again?"

"I guess so."

"It was nice to see you again Barry Allen"

"You too Kara... Danvers" i walked out. Way to be pushed into the worst part of the friend zone.

"How'd it go?" Cisco asked as I dropped onto the couch.

"Not. Well"

"Did she push you away"

"We're 'just neighbours that say Hi every now and again'"

"Aw Barry. I'm so sorry. You know we can always go back to E-1" Caitlin tried to comfort me

"No Caitlin. I can't just leave everything behind again. Things used to be different between us. I won't leave until they are restored"

"Sounds like something a true superhero would say. And don't deny it because you are one!" Caitlin said changing her tone.

"Thanks guys. Now here's the bigger deal. Who the hell is Supergirl?"

That was when we pulled up our research. It turns out, Supergirl looks lime some blonde cheerleader who has the same powers as the man of steel who is friends with the one and only, Jimmy Olsen. We clicked on Jimmy's information. He was a photojournalist at the Planet and now works for CatCo. Same place Kara works.

"You know what, I'm going to get more food. Anyone want some?"

"No were good." Caitlin said.

I walked outside but stopped to eavesdrop on their convorsation.

"You know what, I'm going to go see what I can pry out of Jimmy Olsen tomorrow while you and Barry try to work out another way to find Supergirl." Caitlin said

"Sounds good" Cisco agreed.

I had the best friends.
