"I thought you agreed not to go into their base alone if you happened across it." Erza's strong voice made your gaze avert to your ground.

"I... didn't plan on going in....  I just.."

"You just what? I agree with Erza, that was pretty dumb," Natsu said, nodding at his own statement. "Not to mention reckless."

Look who's talking. Natsu's is more reckless than I am.

"I can take care of myself.." You mumble, sniffling slightly. The constant rain seemed to be getting you sick. Erza sighed.

"(Y/n), you're on a team now. Not just any team. Our team. I don't get why you're being so reckless!" Natsu says. You were a bit surprised at the amount of anger in his tone.

"I didn't ask to be on this team! I just want to be alone! It's what I deserve since-" You clamp your mouth shut. Your eyes widen at your sudden outburst. It had been forever since you had let anger get the better of you.

"Since... what?" Erza asks, her voice surprisingly soft. You only shake your head.

"I'm going... out." You abruptly turn around.

"Wait, you shouldn't! Those people are still out there," Natsu calls after you.

Natsu begins running after you, but Erza stops him. "You should let her sort whatever she's going through alone.. Some things are better left alone. She'll come through whenever she's ready. I'm sure of it. Come on, let's go tell the others what's happened."

Natsu continues staring out the open door that you had left through, his mind wandering. There's something she isn't telling us. And if it's the last thing that I do, then dammit I'm gonna figure out.

Natsu turns around, following Erza to the room.

You weren't sure where you were going. You just let your feet guide you as you walk down the sodden streets. You wondered why anyone would actually live here. It was always rainy, so it must put everyone that does live in a pretty gloomy mood. As much as you appreciated rain, you wouldn't won't to live in it constantly.

You look up to the sky, your hoodie falling back down as rain pelted your face. You wished the rain could wash away everything. Memories, scars... life. It just sometimes felt like you were going in nonstop circles, and ending up no where. There was no one who actually knew you, no one who had any idea of what you had gone through and still were going through, and no one who could help you.

Although the people on this team seem pretty sincere and honest.... and trustworthy. What if... I told them.. Everything? How would they react? No... I can't... I'm too weak. Maybe in due time, but not now.

You weren't sure how long you had been standing in the rain and staring at the sky. But it was darker now, so the sun must've set already. It was time to head back.

You walk slowly back to the hotel, dragging your feet through deep puddles and sloshing through mud. By the time you got back, you were famished. Not to mention cold.

You open the door to your room, and are instantly met with worried gazes.

"Thank goodness! While you were out, we figured out something. We know why it is constantly raining, and who is behind it all!" Lucy exclaims.

You sit on the floor, not wanting to get the bed wet. "I'm listening."

"We did some exploring in the library, seeing what we could find out before the rain started. Turns out that before it started raining, this place was part of a desert. The villagers here would pray to some god of theirs for rain, but would rarely get any. That is, until he showed up. He called himself "Fate". Anyways, he convinced the villagers he was in fact a god, using his water magic to make it rain. The villagers had never seen anything like it. They worshipped him as a god," Gray explained.
