A/N: Hey guys. I am posting today because I just feel like it and feeling generous. Anyways love to hear some feedback from you guys.
I am at physical therapy, trying to gain some feeling back in my legs. After a month, I am still doing therapy. My therapists stretch me out before asking me to walk the mat with two bars on either side of me.
"Okay Alec," Daniel says. "I want you to try to get across this mat again.
"Okay," I reply. I get up from my wheelchair and David help me over to the two bars and the mat.
"Begin whenever you want to," David suggests looking at me.
"Sounds good," I reply. I begin to grab both ends of the bars and begin to walk. I struggle a bit but it is getting better. When I finally get to the halfway point, I falter a bit but didn't fall down. I finally able to get across the mat without any complication and walk down a few steps.
"Awesome job," Daniel exclaim proudly.
"Thanks," I reply enthusiastically.
"So how does that feels?" he asks, grinning.
"Great," I reply.
Daniel help me walk over to the tables where he can stretch my muscles out.
"Well," Daniel says. "We have a couple more weeks before we stop therapy.
"Yeah," I say.
"Well, it's great to work with you. Hope you do keep in touch," Daniel says, grinning.
"Definitely" I respond, smiling.
Daniel help me get into my mom's car and she drives me home.
"How's therapy?" my mom asks
"Great I reply," grinning.
We finally arrive at our house and my mom help me get into the house. After entering the house, I wheel myself to the my room where I stand up and walk over to my desk where my laptop is.
I turn it on and get on social media. After my fair share, I get ready for bed and I am off to dreamland as soon my head hit the pillow.
-A month later
I am on my laptop, answering some emails and looking around on my social media when my laptop ping notifying me that I receive an email. I open the email to see a manager of a store I apply for congratulating me that my application have been accepted and that I will start my training as a barista at Starbucks on Monday at 5:00 pm.
---
After getting some rest, and having an uneventful weekend, I drive to the Starbucks where I would begin my training. I park my car and enter the shop.
I walk up to a girl who is working the counter.
"Hey, welcome to Starbucks. May I help you?" the girl cheerfully greets me.
"Yeah," I reply. "I am looking for the manger here since I will be starting my training today."
"Oh okay," the girl replies. "I am April, the assistant manager. Aaron, who is the manager is in the back. I will get him for you."
"Thank you," I reply.
April leaves me to go into the back and I hear some chatter. Soon enough I see a guy comes out. He's about 6'2 and around my weight with brown hair and brown eyes.
"Hey," the guy starts. "I am Aaron, the store manager."
"Hey," I say grinning. "I am Alec, the trainee." I put out my hand so he can shake it.
