Ch. 8 "We are more likely to die on the way to a theme park than at one."

Previously on Ch. 7

As soon as I walk in the smell of bread, cookies and other baked good hit my face. I walk over to the counter where samples of cookies are. I am about to grab the cookie when a guy also go for the same cookie as well.

I look up to see the mystery guy who have a scarf along with jeans, boots long sleeve shirt and a jacket. The guy looks at me in shock.

"Alec..."

"Alec?" the guys asks.

"Yeah," I reply as I turn to the guy. "Do I know you?"

"Yeah," Magnus replies. "From school.

"Oh," I reply. " I am sorry. I can't remember things because of the accident.

"That's alright," Magnus replies. "I am Magnus by the way."

"Alec," I reply. "But you already know that."

"Yeah," Magnus states grinning.

"Do you want to sit together?" I ask looking at him.

"Sure," Magnus replies.

We head over to an open table.

From there we start to catch up. I learn that Magnus is a CEO that Jace was talking about. Also I learn that Magnus, Jace, Izzy and I all went to the same school.

"So," I say grinning. "I hear that you are some big shot CEO of a company?"

"Yeah," Magnus replies grinning.

Cool," I reply. "How is it working with Jace?"

"It's awesome because I know Jace and how he is. However it is can be weird sometimes because I am his best friend and his boss too. Sometimes I forget that we are at the office and I treat him like a friend. He have to remind me constantly that we are at work."

I laugh when I hear this. "Seriously?" I ask

"Yeah," Magnus states. "Leave it to me to make a fool of myself."

"Wow," I say laughing. "Well don't feel bad Magnus. It could have have happen to anyone. Anyways what did your employees say when they see you treat Jace like a friend?"

"Well, they joke around and say 'special treatment' to Jace," Magnus replies. "Jace hates it because he feels like he should be treated as any other employees. He does not want to use the fact that he knows me to his advantage."

"Oh okay," I reply. "He is one decent guy."

"Yeah," Magnus replies, agreeing with me. "He sure is."

"Anyways you know Izzy through school also right?" I ask.

"Yup," Magnus replies. "We all meet at the same school."

"Cool," I reply. "I just feel bad that I don't remember any of it."

"Hey," Magnus starts. "It is okay Alec. Your memories will eventually come back.

"I hope so," I reply.

"I know so," Magnus states, smiling.

"Okay," I say.

We continue to catch up and talk until it is 11:30.

"Well," Magnus begins. "I better get going since I have an early day tomorrow."

"Okay cool. Same over here," I reply.

We both get up and head to the door when Magnus turns to me.
