Hello everyone! This is our first ever story made on WATTPAD! I know this isn't original, but it was really fun to write! So... Enjoy!
"Papa?" Young Marinette asked, standing on her tippy-toes. Tom looked back at her daughter who was trying to reach for the icing on the counter.
"Yes, Marinette?" The young bluenette took her finger and dipped it in the icing before replying.
"Mama told me that I have a soulmate!" She gleamed a smile, licking off the excess icing off her fingers.
Tom dropped everything and made his way to his daughter. "Well, you see, Marinette. Your soulmate can be anyone. Maybe someone you don't like now, but you'll like in the future."
Marinette nodded and listened intently, still licking her small fingers. "Do you want to follow the soulmate gem?" She nodded.
"I can't wait to see who my soulmate is!"
9 years later...
Marinette Dupain-Cheng is now 16 years old and goes to Collège Françoise DuPont. Upsetting as it is, Marinette STILL hasn't found her soulmate.
She had been starting to think she never had one in the first place.
It was possible, after all.
"Do you think I have a soulmate, Tikki?" The bluenette asked her kwami, lightly petting the top of her head.
"Of course you do!" The kwami gushed. "Who wouldn't want you as their soulmate?"
"I'll tell you who..." She sighed, eyes drawn to the boy with blond locks and flashy smile. "Adrien..."
Adrien Agreste. Famous? Yes. Kind? Definitely! Has looks? Was that even a question! Yes! Adrien is the son of Marinette's favourite fashion designer; Gabriel Agreste. She had always looked up to him for inspiration. If not him, then his son.
"Marinette! You're staring!" Tikki warned her, snapping the teen from her daze. Once she saw clearly again, there stood Adrien waving at her like crazy.
"Hey, Marinette!" Ah, was that ever a habit. He would always wave hi to his fellow classmate on the way to class. He grew fond of her and thought of her as a friend.
"H-Hello Adrien! Day nice huh? I-I meant... Nice huh day? No! I mean... Hello..." She stuttered. She was always a stuttering mess in front of him.
Who is she to blame? His emerald green eyes she was always lost in, the toothy welcoming smile that gave her warmth, the golden hair that blew in the wind...
Okay, so maybe she was crazy.
Adrien seemed to look a little uncomfortable with Marinette's response, but soon relaxed. He was her friend after all.
They thought very differently. To Adrien, Marinette was like a friend he never had. To Marinette, Adrien was the boy of her dreams.
Marinette had always been head over heels for him. The day he came into the classroom and became friends with her. Today marked 2 years since they met. It wasn't pleasant at all how it started.
Adrien on the other hand, liked his partner, Ladybug. Ladybug. Her voice was music to his ears. You see, when he wasn't Adrien he was Chat noir. A hero of Paris. Ladybug and him always worked together.
He adored her so much, he would do anything to see her again. Sometimes he was thankful there was an Akuma. He just wished that his lady would reveal her identity. It would make things easier. Or would it?
"Girl! Girl!" An auburn yelled from a distance. Marinette's head snapped to the left, seeing as her best friend was eager to tell her something.
"Hey, Nino. Hey, Alya." She was a little upset, she admits it. Perhaps it was because Adrien didn't remember. He didn't remember the day they met. Was it really not that important to him?
