Hello everyone! Did you guys like the first chapter?! It was really long and it took me a few days to write it! I'm just in such a writing mood! Credits to the artist! ^^

"Soulmate...?"

Chat Noir stopped leaning in a knitted his eyebrows. "Did you say something, Princess?" Marinette blinked and shook her head leaving the cat on the balcony.

He grew worry of his classmate since she just stopped. "Princess?" He touched her shoulder, but she flinched. "Please, Chat... Go away. I-I need to be alone." What could cause her to he like this? Just a minute she was enjoying it. Or at least he thought so. No! He was only teasing her!

"As you wish, Princess. See you soon." Chat Noir left, jumping off the balcony and onto a nearby rooftop. Once she was sure that he wasn't near her, she panicked, screaming her head off.

Tikki flew out of her hiding spot, looking worriedly at the bluenette. "Marinette?" She collapsed on the bed, crying in her pillow. But she thought Adrien was her soulmate! It can't be! "He's my soulmate, Tikki... Chat's my soulmate..."

Tikki didn't quite understand so she stayed quiet. Once she had replayed the words in her mind, Tikki gasped. "Oh Marinette! You said it yourself! You wanted to follow the soulmate gem!"

She groaned and mental face-palmed herself. "You're right, Tikki! I shouldn't have said that... I'm an idiot! I had such high hopes Adrien was my soulmate!" Tikki was at loss of her words and decided to not say anything. Marinette seemed stressed already.

Once Adrien had arrived home, he jumped to his room, carefully sliding into the bedsheets as if he had been sleeping all along.

A knock was heard from the other side of the door. "Adrien? It's... Nathalie." The blonde boy immediately sat up, motioning for his father's assistant to come in. "Yes?"

"Oh... You're sleeping..." She said in a monotone voice. Adrien nodded slowly, stretching out his arms. "Do you need anything?" He asked. Nathalie shook her head and left the premises.

What was that all about? He shrugged, and Thai time went to sleep for real.

The next day, Adrien walked to school. Somehow, after the whole mishap of him "almost" kissing Marinette, he wanted to see her more.

No, he did NOT like her. And by the looks of it, Marinette doesn't like him either. She probably likes Nathanael or something... He thought.

"Hey, Marinette!" He gleamed a smile, waving at his classmate who was running to school. The bluenette waved back, blushing a crimson. "H-Hey A-Adrien...!" She still stuttered now and then, but not that much.

Especially now that she knows he's not her soulmate. But Marinette didn't want him to know. It would make her sound... Desperate. "I-I was wondering if you wanted to um... Go out later? As friends of course."

She blushed even harder. Was Adrien asking her out? No, he specifically said as friends. Well that hurts. In return, the bluenette nodded, zipping past him towards Alya.

Then she stopped. Although she had promised to follow the soulmate gem, she couldn't do it. It wasn't acceptable! Was it possible to break a soulmate gem? Finally making her decision, she huffed and marched her way to the blonde boy.

"Actually, I'm free whenever! Just call me whenever you like, okay?" Adrien was stunned. He had never seen Marinette that confident. Especially to HIM. "S-Sure..." Now it was his turn to stutter. The confidence Marinette had been showing reminded him of someone.

His sweetheart Ladybug. "Dude." A certain DJ nudged him by his side, smirking. "You like Marinette, don't you?" He gaped and shook his head furiously. "No! I-I mean... Yes? No! I like someone else, Nino..."

The DJ frowned at his best friend's words. He had thought that Adrienette would've been cannon by now! Apparently his plans would be delayed. "C'mon dude," Nino slung his arm on Adrien's shoulder. "Give her a chance! Who knows..."

"No, Nino! Marinette and I are JUST friends. I know me and my la- I mean, my crush will be soulmates! It's destined!" He remarked, crossing his arms. Nino sighed, walking away from the oblivious teenager.

Behind a tree, there stood Alya waiting patiently for Nino to come back. "So? Did it work?" The boy shook his head in disappointment. "Aw, c'mon, Nino! Couldn't you have not screwed up this once?!"

Now that him and Alya were soulmates, whatever she said didn't affect him. They were stuck together whether they liked it or not. Alya looked over at Marinette who was too busy staring at her soulmate gem. That's it! I need them to realize they're soulmates!

Nino grabbed Adrien, and Alya dragged Marinette to the two boys where they ripped both of their sleeves off to reveal different gems...? Impossible! Alya thought angrily. They're meant to be!

"Alya!" Marinette yelled, pulling what's left of her sleeve down. "He's not soulmate!" She had to accept it. It hurt, a lot, but it was the truth. "Wh-What?" The ombré girl was still stunned.

"Then who is your...?" That snapped Marinette. Then she screamed, "Chat Noir! Okay?! It's Chat!" Then she went running away from the three. Nino was confused, Alya was upset, and Adrien was... Shocked?

Adrien sprinted to the boys locker room to talk to Plagg. "This can't be! B-But I thought..." He trailed off, remembering all those visits he had with Marinette. It all made sense. But why was it different when he was in civilian form?

"Plagg!" The cat kwami groaned, shooting daggers at the model. "Look, kid, it means that you and Marinette are meant to be! Just as chat noir."

"How does that help?!" He exclaimed, punching the locker right next to him. "I dunno."

"Well..." Adrien paused, looking at the time on his watch his father had given to him. "We gotta get to class, c'mon!"

The day seemed to go by fast, and before they knew it hometime came. Adrien said goodbye to his friends and his behind the school building to transform.

"Plagg, claws out!" Chat Noir used her staff to fly through the air to find a certain princess dancing to some Jagged Stone music. "And oh-"

The sound of Chat Noir's laugh shut Marinette up. She glared at the cat before letting him in. "So, Princess..."

"Chat, now is not the time. Leave!" She told him sternly. Chat Noir chuckled, leaning in closer like he did last time he visited. "Hello, soulmate." He whispered huskily in her ear, sending shivers down her spine.

Marinette smirked as she grabbed a red dot light (idk what it's called sorry) and pointed at the wall.

Don't follow it... You're a human, Adrien! Not a cat! He had to bite his tongue due to the urge to pounce at it. "MEOW!" Marinette gaped as Chat tackled the red dot only to fail.

The bluenette face-palmed. My soulmate's a cat... My soulmate's a cat...

Crappy chapter I know 😂 Sorry bout that! What did you guys think? I kind of hate how it's going so far, idk... Vote, comment, and add to your library! See you in the next chapter!
