Vincent's eyes sparkled widely as he looked at the market stands around him. Scott really couldn't believe how Vincent was acting. He really expected Vincent to be more devious at a time like this, maybe scoping out humans to use as his pray in the future. But Vincent was doing none of that, he just looked like he was having a fun time.
Vincent had insisted that they go into a nearby village and have some fun. He had found an old robe that an old victim of his no longer required. Luckily, it was long enough for his tall stature. Vincent had lead Scott towards a village nearby, different from his own. This town had much more people, and an even busier market than then he was used to, but it was nice. They didn't have any money, but Vincent didn't care about that.
He ran around looking at everything going on around him. The vendors, the street performers, and even someone playing music. Scott couldn't help but notice how much Vincent reminded him of a young child.
They walked past a small open of the village houses where you could enter the forest from. Vincent suddenly stopped in his place, leaving to Scott to look at his with questioning eyes. Suddenly, Vincent darted through the buildings and into the woods, Scott desperately running after him. After a couple of minutes of searching through the small area of woods beside the town, Scott found Vincent crouched behind a bush, a mouse in hand. With a lick of the lips, Vincent raised it to his mouth and was ready to bite.
"No! Bad Vincent! Put it down!" Scott yelled at him, not loud enough for anyone else to hear.
Vincent snickered and opened his mouth to show his teeth that still seemed to be quite sharp.
The hand of Scott was soon raised and the mouse was freed by the smacking of Vincent's hand. He looked up at Scott with sorrow filled eyes, acting like a puppy that had just gotten scold for bad behavior. Scott watched the small furry creature scurry off deep into the woods."That was a perfectly good snack, what the hell Scott!?" Vincent was angry, but Scott could tell it want genuine.
"Humans don't eat mice, now come on." Scott gestured for Vincent to start following him again, and reluctantly, Vincent got up and followed. Scott gave a heartfelt smile as he started to guide them back into the market square. Vincent hadn't seen Scott make this expression before. He slowed down slightly so he was farther behind Scott, giving himself a moment smile to himself and blush over how cute it was.
Vincent went through the bushes and back into the market area, but Scott was nowhere to be seen. His head shot around as he glanced in every direction to try and find him. With no luck, Vincent began to panic on the inside slightly but stay composed on the outside. He then felt a tap on his shoulder.
At the sudden touch, Vincent jumped slightly, whipping around to see who it was. Standing behind him was Scott, now with wide eyes from the sudden movement.
"Geesh, calm down." Vincent's face turned to annoyed, but it was to himself for overreacting. "And if you're hungry," Scott glanced down at the food -that Vincent was only now just noticed was in his hand- before looking back up at Vincent with another heartfelt that made his heart flutter. "eat this." Scott extended his arms, presenting the food for Vincent to take.
After a short pause, Vincent took the snack sized vendor food that was wrapped in a small cloth from Scott's hands, their fingers brushing against each other for a brief moment. Vincent's face could help but turn slightly red at the feeling. He brought it up to his nose, smelling it before taking a small bite. His face instantly lit up like a small childs.
"This is amazing! Thank, Scott!" The food was quickly being devoured by Vincent, a large smile on his face the whole time. Scott couldn't help bit giggle to himself at the display before him.
As soon as Vincent had finished, Scott's face turned to excitement once more. "A band is about to start playing in the town square, let's go!" Scott reached out and grabbed onto Vincent's wrist, quickly dragging him along to the town center. Vincent followed along behind him, watching down at where Scott was still holding onto him. This time, Vincent blushed hard. His face turned bitter as he realized just how much control Scott had over him... And he doesn't even realize it.
Did I get anyone's hopes up with the title?
[Small rant, don't bother reading if you don't care]
Okay, so this book has about 3-4 chapters left and it's done, but that's not what I want to talk about.
I have over 300 followers -thank you- and almost no interaction with any of them. I wanna chat with you guys more, I post updates on my conversation tab about the books I'm writing and books that I'm going to write, so check in every so often if want an update, or just message me.
Secondly, I just started writing a new book of one-shots for Victor x Yuri, and I take requests, so make sure you check it out, I spent a while on the first chapter. It's nothing special, but it is the longest Fic I've written.
I hope to have the book finished soon. Hopefully by the time this school year ends. I know that sounds like a long time from now but I'm planning on making the last few chapters longer and more edited then past ones. And then after all that, I'm going to go back and rewrite the first dozen chapters to make them less cringy, and hopefully more cute, like it's actually leading up to a romance.
Anyways, thanks for reading.
