This time.

I know for a fact that I won't be here for long. He'll be back before I can even make a memory for myself.

I don't think anyone else has noticed, simply because the nuisance of an app has been able to disguise his voice as my own.

But more and more lately, I can't remember a thing, which is weird for me.

I can see the confusion written all over their faces, when they ask me if I remember.

I can play it off fine, pretend like I know as I scroll through Spike's memory bank that he has somehow unlocked for me. But in all honesty, I'm scared.

Scared that he will soon take me over. That one of these days, Spike will become me. That this hell ridden app that Douglas installed on my chip will one day be the person everyone talks with. The one that she may be falling in love with. When all along, its been me in love with her.

He'll never treat her the way she deserves.

He'll never take what I have and use it for good. He'll use my bionics against me. Killing both of us in the process.

He'll make it virtually impossible for me to save the world when all I can do in the moment is attempt to save myself and the people I love.

That's his ultimate plan though, isn't it?

To take me away and leave all the good for himself?

Though that good will soon turn evil if he has anything to do with it.

And there's nothing I can do about it. But sit inside, wondering when the next time he'll let me out will be...
