His breathing picked up heavily as he could feel himself slipping back into the consciousness he had been wishing for.

Hoping for.

Craving, even.

Since the second Spike had begun to take over.

It had been weeks.

Weeks since he had finally been in full control of himself.

He was almost scared to open his eyes.

Terrified, to be exact.

That Spike was just staying quiet for the moment.

That when he finally pushed his eyes open. When he dared to look up and see the blue sky for himself.

That Spike would be back.

That his evil, over controlling alter ego, would take back over.

Would make sure that he was really gone for good.

Just because it was calm now, didn't mean that the storm wasn't still brewing deep inside of him.

He dared, wondering just where he was.
