HEYYY.

What's up?

Soo, it's Mary here, and if you're reading this, you're probably glad that Mia and I FINALLY came up with a book idea!

And it is, if I do say so myself, an AMAZAYN idea. I'm writing the first chapter because Mia's too much of a wimp to.

Please don't tell her I said that.

Chapter 1:

*********

*Lainey's POV*

School is boring.

Especially Maths. I mean, who invented it? I'm not going to use the 'Pythagorean Theorem' any time in my life! I'm going to be a bass player, and that doesn't require any math, except for knowing how to count to four.

Right now, I'm just living for the weekend.

Oh, and summer.

GOD BLESS THAT WONDERFUL THREE MONTHS OF JOY.

So, now, I'm in English class. This might be the most tolerable of the classes. I'm not saying I like it, I'm just saying that it's the least boring, and probably most useful of all subjects, since I write songs.

But either way, I'm still so bored.

Today is even worse, because my letter's coming today.

What letter, you may ask?

THE LETTER THAT DETERMINES MY DESTINY.

I applied to The London Academy for the Future famous last week.

If you don't already know, The London Academy for the Future Famous is where everyone who wants to be anyone goes to get famous. They have classes that help you deal with Paparazzi, hate, and some classes even teach you how to react during interviews!

Now, that's something I could use. But how am I supposed to wait another 15 minutes for school to get out? Isn't it enough that I've already had to endure a week of waiting? Someone needs to pull the fire alarm or something, so we can be dismissed early.

"Miss Reynolds?"

My head snaps up, out of my trance.

"Y-yes?"

"I asked you to do number five." Mr. Collins states, crossing his arms and quirking an eyebrow.

"Right."  I squint at the problem in front of me. "Um...Forty-two?"

Mr. Collins sighs and picks up the textbook, showing the cover to the class. In big, bold letters, it says:

ENGLISH *Book 1*

Whole class laughs as my face flushes. Oh, that's right, like I said, I'm in English...

"Miss Reynolds," Mr. Collins starts. "This is not math class. In the future, be prepared, and- oh yes- Pay Attention."

I nod sheepishly "Sorry."

This bell rings and I gather my things quickly. When I'm on my way out the door, Mr. Collins stops me at his desk.

"Miss Reynolds, I'd like you to stay a few more minutes after class, please."

I mentally groan and brace myself for the long lecture he's about to give me. He shuts the door after the rest of the students have filed out and turns to me.
