Its was a cold winters night as i tell my family goodnight i can hear the wind blowing as I get ready and close my eyes but my pager awakens me i turn it up i can hear the dispatch shout. i run to get my keys and jacket on I rush to my truck my blue light is on, as i hope we can win and beat the beast. I get to the station and rush to get my heavy gear on I get on the truck to get ready to to go. The sirens are on and the lights lighting the night the car move to the side to make us pass by I pray to god no one on my truck dies.As we get closer i can smell and see the beast we pull up and I hop off and hit the hydrant grabbing a hose and putting the air pack on my back i rush in to get to the middle of the beast open the hose in an attempt to kill it i cant see anything but i can hear a soft child's voice as i look all around I hear our order to get out now! the roof is coming down, but i can't get out a child is here, i can't just leave is not what i trained for i look around hoping to find the child i can hear my self getting closer as I scoop and run, but i can't make it to the door there a big flame blocking the way, i see a window so i dive out from the second floor hitting the ground hard forgetting the pain shouting up my arm and start doing CPR. as I rush him to the EMS, i fall to my knees im so tired but i still have a beast i have to beat. Fifteen minutes later we clean everything up i get on the truck.ready to go home and hug my family tight.
I walk into my house, nearly 6 o'clock. I see my family awake waiting for me
i thank god everything went well...
