The Lion And The Dragon

Introductions

Days were long in Linglai, as the sky was always red.  As all the dragons had gone back to the sky, they hid away in their floating city along the sea of clouds.   The dragons were a race of beautiful creatures, filled with magic and wisdom. Amongst the dragons lay a species known as the lions, a timid and raging species.  The lions were a destructive and  rampaging race , always wanting to fight anything that moved.

Ever since the Great War of Linglai,  the lions and dragons have been in a thousand year feud. They've been fighting an endless war with no meaning. Now the land and the sky have been distant, for once they used to be close like sisterly worlds. Both lion and dragon were a powerful species.  Both made to look after their dying world.  Just like God's, but ever since the Great War it has forever been like demons have possessed them.  These God's hold no peace between each other, and for that those 'God's' destroy their homes just to fight another day.
And ever since the war these 'Gods' have been destroying the world they hold most precious.

The lions and dragons wanted to end this thousand years of fighting with the alliance of marriage to two cubs of the great God's of each race. Both cubs were destined to be the Gods of God's. Cubs blessed with the blood of the creators of the first God's,  blessed with power far stronger then all of the strongest men combined.   They say that they will reunite the races so that the world will be at peace again.  That the sky will be blue again and that the land,  the sea and the sky will be sisters again.

But...  When the lion cub was born,  a group of rouge dragons took her one night. When the palace halls were peaceful, quiet and no guard was in sight.  When the newborn slept away in it's bed peaceful in the bliss of it's own dreams. The rouges snuck in with out a sound,  not even from their charmful scales.   The rouge dragons got away swiftly that night.  Not to be seen ever again.  The Lion's Forces searched for the lion cub,  days and nights. They searched the rivers to the plains,  from cities to the sea,  from the forests to the mountains. Time had past and the cub wasn't ever found.  Days had past and they had forgotton about the cub. The God's left to produce a new cub and to make the alliance, that was most precious to the God's.  But over the years the lions tried and again they failed to make another God cub.

Days had past, and no one ever found the cub.  The rouge dragons took the cub away to there hideout close to the mountains.  They debated whether or not to eat the cub or give it away for money which they were so desperate for.  Time had past while they made their decision  but they didn't realize the shadows moving outside of their ran down hideout, only held up with ropes and broken branches.
The cub then gave a small cry, the rouges gave their attention to the young infant. Not realising that a group of figures had snuck their way through the open door. 
"put up your hands!!" they appeared to be palace guard of the court of Dragons.
"after months of hunting we finally found your hideout," they were coated with elegant silver armor that shone in the light of the full moon.  The guards held their weapons towards the rouges,  who gave up with out a fight. The guard's weapons showed fine craftsmanship, each weapon custom to it's welder. "you are being arrested for acts and crimes against the court of dragons,  and the felony towards the courtman Lucifer. You are to be silent or the orders to kill will be pronounced upon you." The guards lead the group of rouges out of the hide out.
As the guards began to walk out of the hideout, the young lion gave a fierce growl.  Which court the attention of one of the guards,  whom looked confused to see a lion cub in dragon territory.  He picked up the lion,  and the cub cooed at the dragon.  He then yelled out,  "Captain, what should I do with this lion cub?"
The Captain looked at the infant awkwardly and said,  "bring that thing to the palace, the court can decide what they want to do with it,  along with these pests."
Later on they took the rouges to the palace cells.  The cub was then taken to the court, where they would decide its fate.

"we cannot have a lion in our mit's. It would cause war on us again!!" one of the courtman spoke up.
"It's a lion,  may I remind you Naga. It too has a right to live." The Dragon called Naga frowned as the dragon known as Lucifer spoke. 
"may I protest,  but this cub was destined to be married to our young dragon cub, Therru.  So I say we either keep the cub to our selves and raise it as one of our own,  or risk our dragons in taking her back to lion territory,  where we may risk another war,  or finally kill it and have the burden of killing a child rest on your minds, and the chance of also war."
The dragons of the court talk amongst themselves,  debating on the proposal that Lucifer put to them.
They proposed to keep the infant lion and raise it as a dragon.
"Takamarii, here!!" Lucifer called to a beautiful dragon.  She was coated in a silk kimono patterned with flowers of many varieties. Her scales glitter with colours of blues and black. Her eyes glared with sorrow,  coloured with vibrant shades of green.   She walked towards Lucifer, and stretched her large blue wings.
"Yes,  father?" she spoke softly.
"you are going to raise this as your own,  so it becomes big and strong,  and to be proud enough to lead an army!" Takamarii's eyes lit up as she thanked her father. She took the cub in her scalely arms.  The cub gargled at her.  She then spoke up so everyone could hear her,  "I shall name her Akira." she raised the cub above her head.  "she shall be known as Akira Wingstone the Taken. She'll be my daughter.  I Takamarii Wingstone the Caring shall claim this lion cub,  to raise her to become the God's cub and she will reunite our home to the land.  The world will be one again.  Shall she be fierce as her heart kind!"
