The bell rung and I grabbed my books, walking out of school towards my car. It was finally Friday and I was extremely happy. This week went by way too slowly.
Nicki came up to me, looking at me. "Something is wrong. Or different. What's up?" She made me stop walking.
I was a little zoned out, thinking about my next test on Monday. "Huh? Oh me? No. Just exhausted." I answered simply, continuing to walk towards my car in silence.
She popped her gum and raised one eyebrow at me. "Not what I meant. You're quiet." She stated. I rolled my eyes at her.
"There's nothing wrong with me. I just have a lot on my mind, Nic." I brushed a strand of hair out of my face when I got a glimpse of Justin leaning against his motorcycle. He looked like he was waiting for someone.
Nicki looked at where I was looking at and then she looked right back at me. "Gotcha. So what did he do this time?" She looked at her nails, clearly pleased with the fact that she caught me in my own lie.
I sighed and stopped walking. She was slightly taller than me, gosh why was everyone taller than me. "He called me ugly because one of his friends called me ugly and then he asked him if he was right and he agreed." I blurted out, sadly.

Nicki stopped chewing her gum and looked up from her nails. "Oo boy." She looked at him and before she could move a step forward towards his direction, I stepped in front of her. "No Nicki, please. I already gave him a piece of my mind. I just wished he'd apologize sincerely and not just say it so everything would be okay again. I want him to mean it." I explained to her.

I giggled slightly "Oh goodness." I smiled and gave her a hug. "Don't say anything. I love youuu. Byee." I said to her before I walked off towards my car.
