That girl. I have to take away the King and Queen's happiness because I was left out of this party. In this case, their happiness is that little girl with the blonde hair, lying in the straw cradle next to the fire. This is the perfect plan. Haven't you ever heard the term "A girl can be a jealous monster?"

Now is my chance I thought as I used my magic to appear in the room where the party was being held. I heard whispers of my name ring in my ear.

"Maleficent" the king and queen said with fear in their eyes.

"So pretty," I said while I looked at the baby girl, "what a waste of a curse."

The king stepped forward. "You will not touch a hair on Aurora's head," he said in his kingly voice.

"Do you forget now, dear king, I don't live in your land," I chimed. He could not do anything to stop me now. "I present the new princess with a gift," I said as I lifted my hands and cast the needle curse. Green fog that looked quite beautiful, but deadly if you breath it in, came out of the tips of my fingers as I pointed them at the baby girl. I could hear the quiet sobs of the queen as I finished casting the curse as the baby breathed in the green smoke.

"You have until her sixteenth birthday, when she will prick her finger on a spinning wheel and die," I said to the King and Queen. I then used my magic to transport back into my castle. Now all I have to do is wait.

(Fifteen years and 10 months later)

That king is silly. Burning all of the spinning wheels won't work. Does he think my magic drained over the years? Well it definitely didn't. I feel as young and as healthy as ever I thought to myself as I turned to my crystal ball to see what was happening with the princess. Oh dear. I thought to myself. That boy and Aurora are getting close. Too close. Dancing in the forest, almost as if they are in love. They obviously don't know it yet but I must stop it. Those stupid other fairies and their gifts, modifying my spell so that she will only sleep, and a kiss of true love will break the curse. He could be holding the power of that kiss right now. I must kill him a soon as possible. The tricky part is how will I do it. The dungeon. Of course! He shall watch her fall asleep, and I will kill him afterward. Plan complete.

I must leave right away, there is only one month before she pricks her finger. I raise my hands to do the transportation spell, and when I lower them, I am in Prince Philip's bedroom. I look around and see Cream colored wall lined with gold paint. I also see a huge bed fit for a king in the corner of the room next to a dresser that is a pretty shade of light blue. I see him standing at the window, with a daydreamy look on his face. He must be thinking of the princess. Love is gross. It completely changes your personality. Really, I'm doing everyone a favor by killing them both. Well, one of them. The other one will be sleeping because of some stupid other fairies, who couldn't keep their noses in their own business. I raise my hands once again and we are both back in my dungeon, but Prince Philip is in the chains against the wall, while I am standing at the doorway of the musky old cell. I really should put these to use more often.

"Maleficent," He said with as much venom in his voice as it seemed he could manage.

"In the flesh," I declared.

"Why are you doing this?" he questioned me.

"Where's the fun in explaining that?" I replied as I walked up the stairs to my throne, but not before casting a spell to make the chains binding his feet and wrists unbreakable. I could hear his exasperated sigh from behind me as I closed the dungeon door. Perfect.

I turned to look into my glass ball to see the princess crying. Wow, she found out fast. What really can you expect when two people are in love?

The days dragged on until the pricking day was among me. I don't think I have ever been more excited in my life I thought to myself as I turned to my crystal ball. I saw Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather, the other fairies, leave the little cottage in the woods to go pick some fresh berries for Aurora's cake from the patch about three miles away.

"Showtime," I whispered to myself as I carried the crystal ball down the mossy, and quite dusty, dungeon stairs to the fifth cell on the left; Prince Philip's cell.

I unlocked the door and peeked inside to see the prince sitting against the wall with a look of despair on his face. I placed the crystal ball on the ground in front of his feet. It displayed Aurora's face which was entranced in my needle spell. She was slowly walking up the stairs to her would-be-death sleep. She was following the green glowing orb that I had sent for her to follow. I could hear Prince Philip quietly whispering "Don't do it," repeatedly as she arrived upon the spinning wheel needle. But it didn't matter. We watched a single drop of blood fall from her finger, and she fell to the ground asleep.

"Now for you," I breathed turning to him. He had a look of worry on his face. "0h don't worry, this won't hurt a bit," I said as I raised my hands to cast the oblivion spell. Blue fog shot out of my fingers towards the prince. He closed his eyes and slowly breathed in the fog. He started to fade from color, and then he was gone, cast into oblivion. The chains fell to the ground creating a satisfying clunk of metal on rock. One sentence ran through my head: I won. Prince Philip was gone, forever traveling in oblivion, and Aurora was sleeping eternally. I won.
