"Ok Derek, you can do this," He told himself. "Just break up with her and be all sympathetic and shit."

Right now, Derek was right outside of Braedon's house and he was freaking terrified. Considering she is a very skilled hunter, he might not make it out alive.

"Ok on the count of three I'll knock on the door. One, two-"

"Derek!! I've missed you!!" She said as she planted a huge kiss on his lips.

"Yeah same, but we need to talk." He said.

"Ok we can, but come in first." She said.

"No thank you I'd rather stay out here." He said.

"Umm ok what's wrong?" Braden asked.

"Look, we have been together for 9 months now and trust me they've been pretty great, but I think we should break up. I'm really sorry, but there is someone else." He said.

"Look Derek, I understand. I could tell that we were drifting apart. I am going to be said for awhile, but I rather be sad than happy in a fake relationship." She said.

"Thank you so much for understanding." He said and then they gave each other a hug.

"Bye Derek." Braedon said.

"Bye Braedon." Derek said. Then she closed the door on him. He could hear on the other side that she was crying and he felt really bad, but he just couldn't pretend like he loved her. He walked away and got into his car.

When he got back to his loft, the first thing he did was text Stiles.

notSourWolf21: Hey Stiles

(Stiles read message at 2:09 p.m)

Babe😘: Hey Derek, what's up?

notSourWolf21: I just broke up with Braedon.

Babe😘: Oh. How did it go?

notSourWolf21: She was understanding and when she closed the door I heard her crying.

Babe😘: Oh that sucks, but that's better than hiding your true feelings.

notSourWolf21: Yeah ik. Hey would you like to meet up later? I really want to see you in person.

Babe😘: Yeah of course! When and where?

notSourWolf21: 7:00 @ that new pizza place downtown?

Babe😘: Yeah I'd love that. See ya then Der.
