Jason's pov

I can't believe I did this. My stupid anger at that menace caused my sister's slow agonizing death. She put her hands on mine which were pressed against the wound, trying to get it to stop bleeding. But I know my work is futile. She's dying. Because of me. I rest her head in my lap. "I'm so sorry." I whisper, a tear rolling down my cheek and onto her head. "At least you'll be free." "Jason," She gurgles. I fight back a sob. "Yeah?" "Don't.... Forget me." "I could never." I cradle her in my arms. "Can... Can you sing me a song?" My voice is trembling. But I will do this the best I can. "Sweet home Alabama, where the skies are so blue, sweet home Alabama Lord I'm comin' home to you." I whisper sing, struggling to stop crying. "Lord I'm comin' home." She whispers, closing her eyes. The door opens. Rage floods to the surface seeing the bastard. But I know he can heal her! There's still time! He was smiling. He knew. He wants me to beg him! I fight my stubbornness for her. "Please! Heal her! I'll do anything!" I say, terrified. He smiles and takes her from my arms. He puts a hand on her throat and heals her then sets her down and the next thing I know he throws me into the wall. "You better learn your place boy. You're nothing more than a blood slave! Stand up against me one more time, I'll kill her next time and force you to watch. Got it??!" He yells, his grip tightening on my throat. "I got it!" I choke out. He drops me to the ground, causing me to cough. I rub my throat painfully. "Is she... Just a blood slave too?" She's unconscious. He smiles and picks her up. "You wish." He says, slamming the door.

Miranda's pov

I wake up back in the green room. Alex was sitting beside me. "How.... Could.... You?" I choke out, my throat killing me. "I'm sorry sweet girl but that boy needs to learn his place and hurting you is the only way to get through to him." "He's right." I whisper furious. "Right about what?" "You are a monster." He cracks me hard across the face.

Jason's pov

I finally get my strength back and run out the door. I find Sierra staring at a door in tears. "Si-" She turns to me, covering her mouth. "I'm just a monster to you." She whispers. My eyes go wide. "No! You're not! He's a monster. Not-" I'm cut off hearing a painful whimper. Sierra tenses. "Poor girl." She whispers. "My sister is in there, isn't she?" She nods. "Stand up you cowardly little bitch!!!" Anger burns in me. I see an old suit of armor. A sword with it. "What are you doing?" She whispers. I look back at the girl I love, tears coming to my eyes. I grab her shoulders and kiss her hard. "Sierra I love you! God I love you more than I can ever love anyone. Please don't hate me." I grab the sword. She backs up. "W-What?" "I... I m-might not make it out.... If I don't.... You have to promise me you'll get Miranda to safety." She's shocked but nods. "If by some miracle I do survive, you're coming home with me." She grabs my shoulders and kisses me this time. "Come back alive." She whispers. I smile and hand her my hat. "I plan on it. Keep that warm for me?" She smiles, gripping it tight.

Miranda's pov

He digs his nails into my arms, blood pooling around his fingers and running down my arms. The door kicks open but before he could even turn around, I see a flash of silver and he goes limp on top of me. He's shoved off and I see his head roll. I scream in shock. "J-Jason." He drops the blood soaked sword and hits his knees beside me, wrapping me in a hug. "I told you I'd get you home." I cry softly on his shoulder and he picks me up bridal style. He walks into the hallway, me still in his arms. "Can you... Heal her Sierra?" "Of course." She puts Jason's hat on his head and heals my various cuts and bruises. "Jason, what about you and her?" He smiles. "Don't worry about us, baby sis. Let's get you home." I grab his shirt. "I am not leaving without my big brother." "I'm gonna be okay, Miranda. I've got Sierra to keep me company for all eternity." My eyes go wide. I strugglingly pull free horrified. Then I see it. Fangs. My brother has fangs. My brother is a vampire!

Jason's pov

"Jason! I think she's hallucinating!" Sierra cries. I run to the bed. Her neck had almost healed. She shook her head back and forth, mumbling no! "I've gotta wake her up." "You can't! She could die from these injuries. Let me finish healing her." "But-" "No buts, Jason." I bite my lip worried. I can't believe she fainted after seeing Alex's severed head. A few seconds later, Sierra has finished healing her. She's weak I can tell. "Sierra." I say, resting a hand on her arm. "You're weak. Bite me." "Thanks." I sit down and let her bite me. I don't know what I'd do without her. I hear my sister groan from the bed. Sierra wipes her mouth and heals my throat. "Thanks Jason." "No problem girl." I say, smiling and holding her hand. She opens her eyes. "I can't believe you!" She yells. "What? What do you mean?!" "I though you said you'd never.... Become one!" Huh? I glance at Sierra confused. "She was hallucinating remember?" She says. I sit beside my confused sister. "I'm not a vampire, sweetheart, you've been unconscious the last four hours." Her eyes go wide. "So.... You're.... You're still human?" I nod. "I'll always be human, baby girl." Tears come to her eyes. She sits up and hugs me. "Oh thank God!" "Everything is gonna be okay, sweet girl. Everything is okay." I whisper soothingly. "Jason?" She whimpers. "Yeah?" "Let's go home." I smile and pick her up bridal style. I hold Sierra's hand. "Yes let's."
