Chapter 2- "I know"

My eyes weren't open but I could feel his hands over my torso, his body so close I could smell his scent, vanilla mixed with lord knows what other heavenly scent to make him smell so delicious, it irritated me how guys smelt so good naturally but for us girls, we have to carry around the whole perfume store.

I shuffled closer to him, burying my face in the crook of his neck and gave him a slight kiss on his collarbone.

"Morning" the voice reached my ears and caught me off guard and I move back with an innocent look on my face.

"You thought I was asleep, didn't you?" He said smirking, his eyes still closed.

I ignored his question and hugged him once again closing my eyes and all that left my mouth was a subtle "hmm".

He hugged me back resting his chin on my head.

We lay still for a while but killing that special moment my alarm rang nonstop and I sighed at the sight of 7.15am before turning off my alarm, and mentally cursing myself for not turning off my alarm. I was about to go back to hugging him but when I turned back I saw him sitting up on the bed, wiping his eyes with his hands like that of a child.

He turned around, looking at me and leaned in to give me a small kiss on my before heading off into the bathroom, and I return to my comfy sleep.

It's Saturday morning which meant no work for me. By passion I'm an artist with a few mildly famous paintings but by logic, own a bakery in partnership with my best friend Bella, which is way more popular than my art.

Jay is a Criminal Lawyer, and yes he earns way more than me. We both have the weekend off unless of course he's working on a case which is way too often. Other than that, weekends are my alone time with my boyfriend..... fiancé.

Walking down the stairs, the warm smell of pancakes sneaks up my nose, making me close my eyes as I take in the amazing smell and open them only to be aroused by Jays shirtless back muscles glowing from the immense sunlight pouring through our apartment balcony.

As I approach the open kitchen, Jay turns around and with a quick glance my way he stops to looks at me, in his oversized white button up shirt, wet hair creating water stains to make the shirt more see-through than it was, and bare legs with nothing but some fluffy winter socks

I trailed my fingers on the countertop of the island as I moved closer to him, with his eyes fixed on the almost visibility of my body.

"Why do you do this to me" he says placing his head on my shoulder as a sign of defeat.

I can't help but chuckle as I move my shoulder from his face and cup his cheeks placing a rough yet passionate kiss on his lips.

Wasn't long before I found myself sitting on the countertop of the island with my body pressed against his.

Our kiss deepened and the beating of our hearts increased. I could literally hear his heartbeat almost in an abnormal way.

His hands trailed down my back and through my shirt to find their way to my breasts, cupping them hard with a slight massaging movement to them.

As a desperate need to breathe out lips parted only to let out a soft moan as he kissed just below my ear, almost nibbling at it, then slowly moving down my neck while unbuttoning the white shirt to reveal my naked body.

He moved back, scanning my bare body as seeing it for the first time and between his fastened breathed he mumbled "fuck you're so hot".

It was just those words to make me pull him closer and kiss his neck vigorously, sucking and biting to leave a mark.

He threw his head back, letting out growls in pleasure before quickly grabbing hold of both my arms and fully laying me on the countertop with just my legs wrapped around him and whispering "not this time".

He put down his knife down on the chopping board and walked over to the stool where was sitting, hugging me from behind.

He took a deep breath in and let it out as he rotated the stool so that I could face him, "babe I know you're gonna be upset at this but I gotta go into the office today".

Before I could say something or more like argue, he pulled my face close to his, our foreheads touching. I feel his lips touch mine and this time it wasn't soft like last night but instead it was rough and passionate I felt his tongue ask for permission and so I gave. Our tongues danced together in sync. And without even realising my legs were wrap around his torso and one of his arm moves down to cup my thighs while the other secured my back.

We parted lips to breathe but it wasn't long till Jay moved down from my lip, leaving kisses across my jaw and neck, while my hands  dug into his hair. before thinking about what I was going to say I whispered in his ear, "aren't you gonna be late for work" I was just teasing but he came to his senses and while a frown took upon my face he looked at me smirking, knowing that I hadn't thought that sentence

Curse me and my crazy brain!

Surprisingly he didn't let go of me, instead, he held me tighter and started walking upstairs not breaking our gaze. Making sure to smirk at the questionable look in my eyes.

Once we reached our bedroom he lay me down on the bed while his body hovered over me, his gaze just then broke and his sea blue eyes traveled down my face to my lips. He leaned closer and I smirked at the fact that he couldn't resist me right now.

His eyes looked up at me again and could read them clearly, he was debating with himself about staying with me or leaving for work.

His current case was somehow very important and I knew he loved me but I also knew the urge he had to complete this case.

I slid my hand up his cheek and gave a small peck on his raspberry lips, which tasted somewhat like honey. My hands wandered around his neck and this time I thought it through, "you have work." his eyes dropped and his smiled faded a little.

"it's harder for me to let you go then for you but I know how much you love your work, I don't wanna be a burden"

his eyes shot up "no n-"

Before he could finish I quickly kissed his cheek which led him to be silent, "don't worry, tomorrow your all mine. No appointments, no case, absolutely no work. Just the two of us"

his frown turned into a huge smile and all that left his mouth was "I love you"

"I know"
