I opened the door and took a step back to let him scan my outfit, scanning me up to down he had a cheeky grin on his face. I gave him a little spin, I was wearing a long silk navy blue dress with a deep neck, classic black heels, and my hair let down in beach waves. Typical girly girl, I wore makeup, and may I add I was pretty pro at it.
"Dayyyym that's my girl" he shouted as if my neighbors in the other apartment were actually listening.
"stop it" I say, lightly yanking his hand. You could tell I was blushing even through my olive tan skin which wasn't one to show much colour except the one.
He cups my cheek with one hand while wrapping the other around my back and pulling me closer "how can I when you just look so beautiful?"
Before I could snap back at him with a reply he presses his lips against mine, the soft and warm feeling sends sensational tickles through my toes.
He pulls back and smiles at me.
Leaving some sexual tension in the air.
"What happen?" I ask, rubbing his cheek with my thumb and scanning his radiant blue eyes for answers.
"Nothing. I'm just"
He pauses and my heart begins to beat faster at his unfinished words.
"I-I'm just really happy I've got you". I can see the seriousness in his face. For a while, we just stand there, pressed against eachother, with a slight smile on both our faces.
"I know. Aren't you just so lucky" I reply, breaking the few seconds of silence.
I was never good at revealing my emotions and pain, I was to never be the person in need but the person who helped in others time of need. I hated feeling so vulnerable.
In the beginning of Jay and my relationship we would often get into an argument about how and why I'm not as open as he is. Took a while but eventually I gave in. But even then I wouldn't express my feelings as often him.

The car ride to our surprise destination was filled with blasting songs on the radio and cocky jokes.
I had no clue as to where we were going, he said it was a surprise and me, being me, loved surprises but only good ones.
My thoughts wandered off, remembering mine and Jay's first date, it was a quiet boat ride, at night. There were a lot of people but not too much to over-crowd the lake. Jay wore dark jeans and a simple t-shirt which hugged his muscular body perfectly. That was one hell of a site. I smiled as I remembered an old couple calling us adorable.
The car came to a stop and I broke out of my thoughts. Jay quickly pushed open his door and jogged towards my door to open it, I felt so special.
As I got out I noticed the light of the full moon linger on his navy blue tuxedo.
"My, my, I just notice how incredibly good-looking my boyfriend is." I say pushing back a strand of his caramel brown hair back with the rest that had been gelled neatly.
A small playful appears on his face and he slides his hand to my lower-back.
"At least you could say thank you." I say, playfully hitting his shoulder.
"Don't worry, I'll thank you later" he whispered and sheepishly winked at me.
"should we go inside?" he asked, wrapping his arm tightly around my hips and looks at me for an answer. I nod in response, and we walk toward the entrance of a fancy restaurant. 'Say Yes' the huge billboard said that hung just before the entrance. I couldn't recognize the name
