Warning: This rant may come off as offensive to those who read it.

There are great, wonderful, original, and creative fanfics out there that I've read. However, this rant isn't about the good fanfics I read. This rant is about the things that need to stop in fanfiction. This rant is about the things that need to start happening in fanfiction. This rant is full of things people want to say but don't because " it's not the authors fault."
If you can relate or simply want to read this I urge you to read this all the way to the end because I got a lot to say.

Let's start with reader inserts. You know that story you read where instead of a character name it says "Y/N" for your name? You're basically imagining yourself in their story.
Here's what I have a problem with:
The author always writes something to describe the reader
YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO DO THAT!!!
Once you do that it is no longer a reader insert. The author should not be describing the reader in any way because they have no idea what or who the reader is. The author should definitely not be describing the readers body type either. This is a problem I see in almost every fanfic I've ever read. Not every girl/boy is a skinny, tiny waist, perfect height  (whatever that means), long straight hair!!! Yes I'm skinny but I don't have long straight hair and I don't even know what the perfect height is! Stop making standards that aren't even supposed to be there! There's also skin color problems in fanfics as well. I read many fanfics that are ruined by the author when they mention/write the readers skin color or an obvious hair color that only applies to one race (which is different than mine) Again they're not supposed to do that. It ruins the fanfic and honestly kills my vibe sometimes.

Next are supernatural fanfictions. No, I'm not talking about the show Supernatural. I'm talking about when the author turns the celebrity, popular character, or person of importance into a supernatural being. For example, Justin Bieber is a vampire x oc/reader.
Here's what I have a problem with:
The author almost always makes the celebrity, popular character, or person of importance a vampire or a werewolf.
Are vampires and werewolves the only supernatural beings?
Nope, but apparently that's the only thing people think of writing. It's starting to get extremely repetitive and annoying and quite frankly unoriginal. Some people put their own creative spin on it and I respect those that do that. However, everyone else does the same thing with a different character. Why can't Justin Bieber be a wIzard? Why can't he be a shape shifter? A incubus? A ghoul? A merman?
ANYTHING BUT A VAMPIRE AND A WEREWOLF!!!
As I stated earlier supernatural fanfictions are starting to get extremely repetitive. What I mean by this is that the story is almost always the exact same. A beautiful human girl/boy was at the wrong place at the wrong time and their life has been turned completely upside down. A powerful vampire or werewolf becomes interested in them after taking the beautiful human girl/boy in and protects them at all costs. Sooner or later they get together which causes chaos, their enemy magically appears out of nowhere (aka the authors butt), kidnaps the beautiful human girl/boy, the enemy is magically killed and the beautiful human girl/boy is safe. Afterwards they no longer face any problems and live happily ever after. Is that accurate? All these fanfics are starting to become worse than a twilight movie. Just saying get your creativity level up people.

Next are disorder fanfictions. The disorder can be given to the celebrity, popular character/person of importance or the original character the author created. It's usually given to the original character.
Here's what I have a problem with:
The author always makes the disorder magically disappear because of the celebrity, popular character/ person of importance are in their life. Disorders don't just disappear because you found love. I understand it's fanfiction, you can do whatever you want. However, disorders are risky to write about and should be taken seriously even if it is fanfiction. Jeez people be a little realistic.

Next are kinky fanfictions. I don't really have a big problem with these types of fanfictions but I do still have a problem.
Here's what I have a problem with:
The author almost always makes the celebrity, popular character/person of importance WAY too dominant for anyone's liking. Sometimes the reader or the character could be the dominant kinky one. Switch roles sometimes people.

Next are one of the biggest problems I have with popular fanfiction where a celebrity, popular character/person of importance is with a original character created by the author.
Here's what I have a problem with:
99.9% of the time the original character is either the same race the celebrity, popular character/ person of importance is or they're white. I'm not racists it just equally bothers and aggravates me. It aggravates me because I'm black and I don't always like seeing Loki with some dumb white girl he got stuck with from New York. I don't even care if they made the girl a Russian spy that's a big enemy of shield at least it's not some dumb white girl from New York that magically became Loki's problem which soon turns to love. It bothers me because no one makes interacial fanfiction. I have a weakness for those who are not of my race. So, I tend to have crushes on celebrities like Tom Hiddleston and Kim Namjoon. I also tend to have crushes on popular characters such as Loki and Toshiro Hitsugaya. So I read fanfiction on all of them. It's always the same thing though. Tom Hiddleston is with a British woman or a white American woman. He can't be with  a pretty Latina. Kim Namjoon is with a Korean woman or a white American woman. He can't be with a pretty black American woman. I never see interacial fanfiction and it's sad because it's fanfiction, you can do what ever you want! I know there are more people writing fanfiction than white people. So it's sad and disappointing that the majority write like that. I read reader inserts to make myself feel better, to make myself feel like I have the smallest bit of a chance to be with people like Tom Hiddleston and Kim Namjoon but even reader inserts mess up sometimes. I was reading a great G-Dragon x reader insert and the author wrote that the reader had blonde hair and I almost threw my phone in anger.

In conclusion, stop messing up reader inserts for the readers. Stop always making a celebrity, popular character/ person of importance a vampire or a werewolf. Stop making disorders magically disappear because it doesn't work that way. Stop being sexist and making the celebrity, popular character / person of importance a super top or a super kinky person. Most importantly stop making the celebrity, popular character/ person of importance hook up with someone the same as them and don't always substitute them with a white person.  Other races/cultures deserve to be acknowledged in fanfiction too. This is the fanfiction rant.
