A/N I HAVEN'T UPDATED IN FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know this chapter is pretty short, but I can't think of much to write. I should get over it. I think I just have a lot on my mind, since I'm working on two fanfics right now and two OC stories that I'm brainstoming. This has been really inconsistent, but once I get into the meat of the story, updates should be more consistent. Enjoy, potatoes!

Two

Rider

Alex, Gallarey, and I hide behind some large bushes, big enough to hide Gallarey, next to the gate. Three girls, about our (mine and Alex’s, not Gallarey’s) age, are there. One, who seemed to be unconscious, wakes up. They have a short conversation, then walk towards the gate. Again, they talk, but sound doesn’t travel through the gate. We still stay silent, hoping to catch something. One goes up to the gate and tries to cross the line, but she must not believe in magic, because she can’t. The tallest of the three goes and passes through easily. I think she must have seen magic at work, since she doesn’t seem like a ‘yeah I totally think fairies are real (they’re not, though pixies, which are annoying, and sprites, which can be helpful are)’ type of person. She hops back and forth through the gate. The third girl does the same. They stop and talk again, then the first girl, who couldn’t get through, pauses and then gets through. They stand there, unsure what to do. “Now?” I whisper. “Now.”
