The three of us stood inside the gates, looking around. The view was amazing, but we didn’t really know what to do. Before any of us knew what was happening, two girls about our age and a huge, scaly… dragon? surrounded us. Storm raised an eyebrow at the taller girl, who had shortish black hair pulled back into a high ponytail and was wearing a blue t-shirt, jeans, and some sort of weird sandaley shoes. The slightly shorter one had medium-length brown hair and was wearing a black and red t-shirt that was way too big, jeans, and the same shoes. The dragon? was… well, a dragon. Special effects, I thought. Must be. “Who are you, and why are you here?” the tall one asked. “More importantly,” the slightly shorter one started. “How did you get here?”Kana said, “I don’t know.” Storm added that she had just shown up in the meadow in a big flash of light. “Yeah, that’s what happened to me, too,” I added, hoping it would be helpful. “Well,” the taller girl said, trying to sound important. “I am Princess Alex Lara of Legacy, and this is my sister, Princess Rider Olivia of Legacy.” Storm laughed. “Yes, and I am Queen Storm Annabeth Caroline Heather Fancypants of Handbags.” The one who she had called Rider glared at Storm. Storm looked up at her, then her eyes widened. “You were serious?” she asked. “Yes, we were serious,” Rider sighed. “And technically, you’re invading the kingdom, blah blah blah, yada yada yada, and we have to take you prisoner to the king and queen, who, if you couldn’t tell, are our parents, so they can throw you in the dungeon or have you executed or something.” I freaked out. “EXECUTED!?!?!?” I screamed. “Well, if they wanted to,” Alex replied. “But don’t worry. They’re nice. They’ll probably just question you extensively then send you back to your boring mortal human world.” Kana looked at her doubtfully. "You say that as if this isn’t the boring mortal human world,” she said. “It’s not!” Rider exclaimed. “This is Legacy! You know, the eighth of the eleven kingdoms of Aura, elements water, earth, fire, and magic, powers Transformation, water breathing, and fire resistance, animal wolf? Do humans not learn about this stuff?” Kana, Storm and I were looking at her like she had three heads. “So what you’re saying is, you’re some magical fairy wolf princess people?” Storm asked. “NO!!!” Rider and Alex replied immediately. “Well, not the fairy part,” Alex added. “That’s Aeriacodna. But we are incarcerating you to the throne room immediately.” Storm shrugged. They led us towards the enormous castle, probably using some fancy telepathic communication field. They stopped at the huge gates, turning around to face us. “Welcome to the palace. Please enjoy your stay,” Rider said very sarcastically.
