Poppy and Branch sat in worry and confusement in the hospital bed together. There hands shaking and there minds baffled. The doctor finally stepped in with a sad look.

"What's wrong with her?" Branch said, jumping from the bed and attaching his hands to the doctors shoulders.

"Queen Poppy, King Branch, please follow. Your princess is sleeping at the moment." They followed the doctor as she spoke to a small room containing baby cribs and toys.

"What is this place?" Poppy asked fearfully.

"It's just a nursery. We keep a special royalty crib and section of the room just for her." She said and leased them over to their baby.

"Thank you, Ms.Britt. What is the matter with her?" Poppy asked.

"Nothing. It was just a small dazzle of light. You know, you were the same way Poppy. Apparently it's supposed to trigger a thought that she will be just like one of the parents. If she glows at birth, they call her happy, but if she doesn't glow or show a sign of gratitude, she is called sad.

Branch's held fell to his chest as he took a seat at a small table in the nursery.

"Hey, Violet. Come on girl," she tried lifting then baby but her weak arms couldn't handle it. She was already in a wheelchair still from all the pain she had.

Branch took the baby and placed it into the mothers arms and smiled. "She loves you."

"She loves us," Poppy said.

"No. I'm not like her." Branch said.

"What do you mean? Of course you're like her. You're her father."

"She's not like me," Branch said.

"Why?"

"I didn't glow at birth. Does that tell that I knew I would be gray?" Branch said.

"Maybe you did glow at birth," Poppy said. "Maybe your parents just never told you...."

"I don't even know where my parents were! I was born and then shipped to my grandma who get eaten by a Bergen!" Branch cried sadly and then began to push the wheelchair. "Let's go home, I can't take this anymore. You're the only family I have left."

"We are your family, Branch. And we care about you. Isn't that right, Vivi?"

Vivi giggled.

"You're skin never went back to normal?" Poppy asked Branch worriedly.

"When did yours?"

"It never fully drained. When we saw Vi is when it glowed again." Poppy said.

"Let's go." Was all Branch could muster before they were checked out and out the door.
