AN: This chapter is mainly about Harry.  I just couldn't resist writing his interactions with the professors.

"Oi! 'Arry!" Hagrid could be seen making his way towards The Boy Who Lived.

"Hagrid! How are you?"

"Bin keepin' outta trouble. I'll say, the school's a lot quieter since yeh left, more education and less, yeh know, danger," the friendly half-giant replied.

"I'll bet. Got anymore wild pets?"

"Not yet, I've bin lookin' though. Think I wan' sometin' smaller, p'rhaps one o' them Krupp Pups, heard they be right loyal if they like yeh."

"That's great Hagrid," Harry said, "but I'd better go say hello to Professor McGonagall before the festivities start. I'll see you later." With that, Harry walked towards the castle in search of the headmistress.

"Mr. Potter, it's good to see you again."

"Oh, hello Professor McGonagall, it's nice to see you too," Harry responded.

"Potter, I've told you," she began, "you can call me Minerva."

"Sorry Minerva, old habits die hard." Harry made a mental note to remember from now on.

"I understand, I had the same problem with Albus when I started teaching," she replied with a sad smile. "Did Ron come with you?"

"He should be here right now, he's just a bit nervous. All of the Weasleys are obviously struggling today, like many are, but Ron's even worse he's-" he checked to make sure no one was nearby, "proposing to Hermione tonight."

"Albus owes me ten galleons when she says yes. I said with that it would happen within two years of them leaving Hogwarts."

"Um, Albus, as in, Dumbledore?" Harry was confused as to why the woman was still holding bets.

"Yes, his portrait is still in my office and behind it is a jar of all the money he's bet but hasn't had to hand over yet. He asked me to collect as I go, and to put them in a separate jar if he wins," Minerva explained.

"Oh. Wow. Do you mind if I head into the castle to find Ginny?"

"Damn, I owe Albus five galleons, he called that one back in your second year when you saved her. Go ahead,"she sighed, shaking her head as Harry walked off towards Gryffindor tower. He arrived at the Fat Lady's portrait to find Ron standing outside of it.

"Hey mate, we can't get in, we don't know the password." Ron sounded anxious.

"Shite, I forgot about that. Well, someone should come along soon," Harry reminded him.
