i hum a tune to myself, running my hand across endless amounts of cd's stopping every few seconds to position another in its place. working here was probably the best thing that has ever happened to me, i am constantly surrounded by the only thing that makes me happy, music. the shop is snug but comfortable, instruments and albums line the old walls. i have to admit the pay here wasn't great,i only have just enough to scrape by. i flew half way across the world to australia, to attend a university with my best friend, im studying journalism. we live in a small two bedroom apartment in the middle of the city.

i finish with the last cd and walk around, admiring everything. business was slow, we never really had anymore than two customers in the shop at once but it was nice, it gave me the opportunity to explore a range of music i would have never thought to listen to before. my boss is nice, a little old man who spends most of his time in the practise room teaching children and teenagers how to play guitar, bass or piano. i return to my place behind the stores desk and begin to do some book work, i hear the door open and look up. a tall boy with dark hair stands nervously at the door way, clutching a guitar case. he looked in my direction and started walking towards me.
"i take it you work here" he smirks. he was attractive, but cocky, or just over confident.
"yeah, i take it you're having lessons" i replicate his tonne and nod towards the room "over there"
"thanks beautiful" he quickly remarks before leaving.

for about an hour i roamed around the shop like i did every other day. the boy emerged again half an hour before it was closing time. my boss stuck his head around the door of his office.
"i have to leave early" he said "lock up for me"
i smiled as my boss left, leaving me and the mysterious boy standing alone in silence.
"if you're not going to buy anything i have to ask for you to leave" i looked up at the boy, his dark brown hair was messily brushed off his head, i stared into his deep brown eyes, almost intoxicated by them. i only realized i was staring to long when i heard him speak.
"you want to take a picture or something before i do, it would give you something to stare at later." he smirked. i felt my face heat up and my cheeks turn red. "its ok princess ill leave now" just as he walked out the door he turned towards me and smiled "ill see you tomorrow"

i was running late to work, one of my uni classes went over time by about half an hour. i quickly walked through the door ready to apologize to my boss but was taken back when i saw the boy. dressed in all black, his sweater hung off his shoulder slightly and exposed his collar bone, the corner of a tattoo peaked out.
"i was starting to think you wouldnt show up princess" he smirked "i covered your shift for you"
"call me Anna, not princess" i took off my coat and hung it across the table. "and what do you mean you covered my shift"
"i work here now, i talked to your boss yesterday, he said you need help around here" he walked closer towards me. "so where can i start"
i sighed, pushing past him. "stack the cd's"
"a please would have been nice " he huffed.

the next 5 hours where pretty uneventful, a few customers came in but nothing more. it was around 10 at night, time to lock up. i heard the boy sigh from somewhere in the corner of the room.
"time to go princess, the boss is locking up"
i hoped off a stool that sat behind the register. "i told you, my name is anna"
"i know" he smiled "and im calum"

sorry this is kind of slow, i just needed to start off somewhere. i promise i have some good stuff planned.
