Zylpai at RTX Ch.1

      Prologue

Shenpai inhaled deeply. I can't believe this is happening, she thought as she left the plane to go into the terminal. Shenpai had many friends in Australia and was looking forward to the Rooster Teeth Expo but those paled in comparison to what all her fans wanted her to do. Kiss Zylbrad! She was so embarrassed, she liked him but they hadn't met in person. They talked online every day, made videos together, and they both knew they liked each other. It shouldn't be that hard, should it? She didn't even know if she could put the right words in her head.

It was late that night, so there weren't that many people at the airport. Excluding the employees there was probably twenty other people. She yawned going over to get her luggage and while her back was turned she felt a tap on her shoulder. Tensing up she clutched her luggage and quickly turned. Standing there was the one person she did not want to see right now. "Brad!" she exclaimed.

"Howdy, M'lady" Brad said coughing weakly obviously scared as much as Shenpai. He looked as nice as a tired looking millennial Aussie would at this hour. His plain black tee shirt and blue jeans with some skater shoes were rounded off with his long hair under his cowboy hat.

Her face was lit with heat and beet red, she was sure. Why is he here, I told him not to come tonight! Her hair was disheveled and her clothes were wrinkled. Not to mention she didn't get a bit of sleep on the plane with all of the noise despite how long the flight was. She wished she had spent more time at the gym. "Uh, you know you can talk to me, right?"

Don't grin at me with your stupid cute grin! "What are you doing here?!? I told you I was just going to my hotel tonight." She wasn't mad at him, not really. The surprise was also not unwelcome.

"Would you accept that I couldn't wait? Plus I thought you might need a ride to your hotel." He put his hand behind his head and was blushing as well. "I mean, I thought you'd want to save some dollarydoos instead of taking a cab. And I didn't know if you wanted to go grab a bite to eat?"

Neither could take it anymore and exchanged pleasantries while going out to Zylbrad's car. He even put her luggage in the trunk and opened her door. Zylbrad was acting like a total gentlemen, oh god, he's trying so hard, it's too cute! They discussed that something fast and cheap was good enough for tonight. "You know Mackers has really good burgers. It's so weird, like, stop being so good," Zylbrad said trying to break the tension.

Shenpai laughed, "I'm more of a chicken nugget fan."

"You bastard, burgers are awesome!" They both were laughing like lunatics over just that simple non-joke.

"Are you as scared as I am?" Shenpai whispered.

"Yeah, but I don't know when I'll have this chance again."

"Little melodramatic, aren't you." Brad gave a hearty laugh which made Shenpai join in. They were both laughing at this point and it felt so good. Shenpai felt at ease now, she couldn't wait to see Winky, Crimbo, Geronimo, Dan, and Tyrodin said he might even be here! This was what she wanted, wasn't it? She was going to meet Winky soon as well. It was gonna be alright.

"So here we are." Zylbrad parked the car so Shenpai could check into her hotel. "You want me to help?"

"Brad, I lugged it to the airport. I'm sure I'll be fine." She was glad but too tired to deal with this. Zylbrad decided to join her inside the hotel. She gave an involuntary blush when asking for her room and the concierge noted it was a single bed. Stupid guy, it's not his business! Zylbrad had followed her up to her room as they got to the door Shenpai quickly opened the door and went in the room. She felt her heart skip a beat. Looking back Zylbrad stood at the threshold.

"I guess I'll be off, M'lady." Zylbrad's hat was covering most his face at this point and he turned to take his leave.

"Brad," Shenpai said in a semi-quiet voice hoping he didn't hear it.

"Yeah,I know. I'll be back in the morning."

Shenpai smiled giving a great sigh of relief, shut the door, and dropped her luggage on the floor. I know we're both anxious right now. It's just... She smacked her hands against her face. Stop it, we've talked about this! I've got a week here, we'll figure out everything as it goes! Shenpai exhaled and decided to take a shower and go to bed for the night.
