Greyson gets up from his bed and rubs his eyes. Not only is he still tired, he's kinda happy that he doesn't have to go to school. As least not with today's circumstances.
Once he puts his beater on, and a pair of pajama pants, He walks to his window to see how the out side nature is doing. But quickly closes it once he sees military jets fly across the sky.
"Josh" Greyson calls walking down the hallway while running his hands through his hair. Instead of Joshua coming to him, his dog Ace, comes rubbing his head against his legs.
"Hi, boy!" He smiles kneeling down to the ground and rubbing the back of his ears. The dog, in response, Wags his tail back and forth accidentally hitting Greyson in the nose. "Okay, that's it" Greyson says feeling the pain in his nose coming back.
He walks to the bathroom and grabs his tooth brush and tooth paste. Once he has the paste on the tooth brush, he starts to brush his teeth.
Left side of the jaw, then the right. He suddenly stops when he hears the front room TV on downstairs. Greyson bites down on the tooth brush so it doesn't fall out of his mouth, and starts to walk down stairs.
When he enters the front room, Joshua, is sitting on the couch with his fingers clasped together while watching the news.
'If you haven't evacuated out of your home, we highly urge you to. The virus has spread and it isn't safe outside, so i repeat, if you haven't evacuated, or haven't planned to. STAY inside, and lock your doors" The news reporter's eyes are wide with fear as he looks around outside.
Then suddenly, the camera man yells and the view of the camera suddenly drops to the ground. Soon to be filled with blood.
Greyson yanks the remote off of the table and turns the TV off and shoots Joshua a spiteful glare, then walks away.

Chapter 3| Home isolation
"Greyson, come here" Joshua calls getting off of the couch and walks up the stairs.
"I'm fine" He mumbles through the toothpaste. Greyson continues to brush his teeth, just as Joshua comes through the door. "Calm the hell down, will you?" Joshua puts the toilet seat down and sits on it.
"I'm in this too, now...I need you to help me seal the windows up with boards of wood" Joshua runs his hand through his hair and sighs. "I'll be downstairs when your ready" with that sentence said he leaves the bathroom.
Greyson leans over and runs his mouth through the water, then spits out the tooth paste. After a couple more times of doing that, he starts to make his way to the basement.
"I'm pretty sure we don't have THAT much wood plank to build up every window in the house" Greyson eyes all of the stuff in the basement, the tools, and then the power tools. All of the stuff his father never let him touch. Even though he's 16.
"I think we have enough" Joshua opens a cabinet filled with planks. He grabs an armful and sits them on the ground. Then another armful, and another, and another. "Take these upstairs and get it ready for me?"
"Sure" Greyson takes a bunch and walks upstairs. He sits them on the floor next by the window. "Hey! Greyson look what I found!" Joshua calls from downstairs.
Greyson walks back downstairs and sees Josh holding a stack of pictures. "What are those?" Josh hands him a few pictures.
When he looks at them, he remembers them from his 10th birthday, the second one, was the time him Josh and mom went to this museum, and Greyson accidentally knocked over a statue. Then started to cry.
"My head was so big..."
"Yeah..." Joshua smiles, then frowns.
"Come on, we gotta do this" He says picking up the planks and taking them upstairs. Greyson tucks the pictures into his back pocket. And follows him.

"Ok! this window is done" Greyson stands back and looks at it to see if it's correct. Joshua nods his head as an 'ok'.
Joshua moves to the next window and takes a nail and the hammer. "Hey Greyson come hold this". Greyson holds the plank still as Josh hammers the nail into it.
"Ok, just to make things interesting" Joshua continues to hammer the nail.
"What?"
"Oh all the money" Joshua smiles as he starts to sing. "Oh please don't do this..." Greyson pleads.
"Why you don't like my singing?" Josh asks offended, he looks down at Greyson waiting for a response.
"Your singing is nice, I guess" Greyson smirks and glares all at the same time. "Can you just continue to hit the hammer on the nail, it makes quite a bit of noise"
"Ok, fine...I'll continue then" Joshua starts to hit the nail into the plank once more and continues to sing.
' that e'er I spent,
I spent it in good company,
And all the harm that e'er I've done
Alas, it was to none but me, and all the harm that e'er I've done Alas, it was to none but me
And all I've done for want of wit
To memory now I can't recall
So fill to me the parting glass'Josh begins to become quiet with his singing, then silent in whole. "There" He says getting down from the chair.
"What's wrong?" Greyson turns his head and looks at him in confusion. "You were just singing...""I...need to go find mom and dad" Josh runs his hands through his hair in frustration.
"Good, so I can come right?" Greyson puts his hands on his hips, sure that he'll say yes.
"No, no, no, it's to dangerous. I have to go alone, look it's not that far from here" Joshua says trying to explain. But Greyson stares at him as if his words are going through one ear and out the other.
"It's not that far away...so why isn't dad and mom back yet? Huh? Can answer me that question?" Greyson growls short tempered.
"I'll be fine!" Joshua says raising his voice.
"Don't. Leave this house" Josh says biting down on his teeth."Fine. He's not my dad he's yours" Greyson crosses his arms and glares. Joshua looks at him, surprised more than hurt.
"Ok," Josh glares
"She's, not my mom but I'm still going to see if she's ok" Joshua unlocks both locks and opens it. He looks at Greyson. Then leaves.
