abbys pov:

that night was one of the best nights in a long time that i could actually sleep without screaming in the middle of the night, form a bad dream. i can never have not had a bad dream in one night, but i thought it was just a rare thing that wont happen again in a long time, i thinking about this while i was having a bowl of foul, its a bean dish that my dad is pretty good at making if i do say so myself, today's job for me, was with Emily and Carl, we were going to go keep watch at the watch tower, then do a run, i suggested the run so that we could explore a bit more than we usually do, when i got done with my breakfast i went to the barn to go check up on Oscar, give him his feed, i grabbed my machete, put it in my knife pocket, and got out of the door, when i was about to close the door, a hand grabbed the door, i looked to see it was Carl, he said " hey Abby where are you heading to?" i said " oh I'm just going to go check up on Oscar, do you wanna come, eh?" he said "sure" we started to walk to the barn when i saw some walkers at the gate. i pull out my machete and stab all of the walkers in the head. i just walk off like no big deal. when we get to the barn i see Oscar pocking out his head from the stall, i grab his morning feed, pour it into a bowl, as i was making his feed, i hear nickering behind me, i see Carl petting Oscar, once i finish making his feed i give it to Oscar, with the help of Carl, holding the door for me, once i was done that, me and Carl sweep the barn, and head out the door, we talked for a bit on the way to the watch tower, when i realized we forgot Emily, shit!, i thought, as i run back to the house, when i get there, emily was eating her breakfast, i just walk over and say " hey em, i was wondering where ya went, you usually wake up before me?" she says " oh I'm fine, just wanted to sleep in now that we've got Carl now to help" i say " yeah thats true, oh and by the way our jobs today are watch tower, and run on Oscar, ok?" she just nods, i say " ill be at the watchtower with carl, see you up there" i walk away, head out the door, i turn around to be face to face with Carl, i say " oh hey, i just had to let Emily know that we were going up to the watch tower" he says " ok" he turns around and wee walk up to the watch tower, when we get up there, we just sit and watch the field, 'looking out for walkers', there weren't anywhere, Carl sits beside me, and we just look into space, like there's nothing that could hurt us. i rest my head on his shoulder, we didnt do anything for about 5 minutes, when carl speaks up " abby?" i say "yeah" he says " i just wanted to let you know i really like you, even though we have only known each other for 2 days." i say " um, wow, i didn't i'd hear that for a little while now" he says " oh i'm sorry, for saying that, that was stupid" i say " oh no its ok, its just can we wait a little bit, until, we can have a serious realtionship, you know, without your missing group cause i want ot meet your group before we do anything serious" he says " sure, but i have to do this first" he leans in, i didn't know what to do, so i leaned in to, our lips were inches apart............................. the we were interupted by emily, great just great.
