EDWARD POV
She cried. I can see it through her eyes. So I guess I'm right? I tried to comfort her but it seems that it came unnatural. I'm no good at this especially in the first place, we were never that close. Her falling inlove with Marco is not wrong. Marco is a nice guy and he's sweet to everyone especially with the girls. I can't blame him for that. I can't blame Kisses either. She only fell unexpectedly. Like me, the love we felt with the other person came suddenly. We never planned it. As I look at her now, gone is that smile plastered on her face. That news might have a big impact on her. The class ended and we all bid goodbye. As I collected my stuff, Marco approached me and told me that he isn't be joining me because he still have a swimming lesson to attend to.
"See you around!" I said to him as he gave a wave. But before he continued to walk, he went to Kisses and I think he already bid his goodbye.
"Hey Edward! Would you like to join us? It seems that Marco seems to have a swimming practice to attend to." Dale asked as Kisses went beside her. I gave her a glance before I nod.
"Great. Let's go. We still have time to eat before our drivers arrived." Dale said as she and Kisses start walking.
"Where are we going?" I asked
"Canteen. We're hungry." Dale answered.
"Aren't you hungry?" Kisses asked suddenly.
"Just a bit." I answered nonchalantly.
"Kisses here? she always get hungry. She loves food so much. The main reason why she likes Mar- " Dale said before Kisses quickly covered her mouth. Panic is evident on her face. Maybe that is a secret. Well it's too late now. I already noticed it.
"Sorry." Dale said apolegetically to Kisses.
"It's fine." She said as she smile slightly.
"Sorry if I suddenly joined you today." I said to divert the topic. They both looked at me and then, Kisses smiled.
"You don't have to say sorry. You're one of our friends right? And initially, wewere the one who ask if you want to join since Marco has an appointment." Kisses said as she went beside me and touch my arm.
"Thanks! I thought I'l be going home alone." I said smiling shyly.
"Awwwww." Kisses leaned and giggled.
"Finally! You're getting back to normal. i thought you'll end up staying on your room and sob." Dale said exaggeratedly.
"I'm normal. And I'm not planning doing that anytime soon." Kisses answered as she rolled her eyes. I laughed. That would be the first time I saw her roll her eyes.
"What's funny?" Kisses asked and looked at me. I looked at her.
"Nothing. You're too cute." I said still with a smile plastered on my face. Right then I saw her pout.
"Come on guys, We still have to eat." Dale said as she loooked at me and gave me a knowing smile. Though I don't know what for.
As we entered the cafeteria, there I saw Heaven and her friends laughing and talking. The moment she saw me, all smiles are gone for a awhile and looked away pretending that she didn't saw me. That hurt me a bit. We are still friends right?
"You alright?" Kisses asked as he held my arm. I looked at her hand and then stared her. That got me back to reality and I smiled.
"Yes sorry. I kinda spaced off." I explained.
"It's fine. Let's go?" She asked still holding my arm. There I saw that Dale already saved a table for us.
"Yup, let's go." I said without removing her hand. It kinda comfort me a bit. It makes me forget what I felt awhile ago. They are making me feel that I still have friends.
As soon as we settled and bought our food, we started talking about what happened the whole day especially the homeworks we have.
"I hate our english class. To think she was asking for us to write a short story. Unbelievable." Dale complained before she took a bite of her sandwich.
"I think it's fun. You have to be imagine more." Kisses said excitedly.
"I agree. It express one's feeling whenever you write. Same goes to drawing and reading a book." I said while Kisses continuously nodded to what I said.
"Tss. Whatever. It's just that you're both in the same organization which is journalism. Of course you'll going to love it. Kisses help?" Dale said as she did a puppy dog eyes while saying the last line.
"Fine. I'll help you but you'll be the one to write it. I'll just give you an idea how to start." Kisses said.
I was about to say something when I felt a hand on my shoulder. As I loked up, I saw Heaven Standing there.
"Uhm, are you going home already?" She asked as she looked at both Kisses and Dale.
"I don't know. We're still having our snack." Isaid as I looked at her.
"I see. You wanna come? My friends and I are going to watch a movie." She asked.
"Hmm." as I was contemplating, Kisses said "You should go if you want to." She whispered.
"I think I won't. Thanks Heaven but I'm not in the mood to watch a movie. Besides, we have a loit of homework to do." I said with a smile. I think not going is just right. Having time for myself and friends is what I need right now.
"Okay. I guess see you around." She said and she looked at Kisses and I before going.
"You should have accepted the offer." Kisses said as Dale nodded.
"I'm good. And besides, we're still eating." I said to them as I raised my already half burger. we all agreed and laugh.
As soon as we went out, our drivers are already at the parking lot waiting for us.
"So see you guys tomorrow?" Dale asked as we assist her to their car.
"yes." Kisses and I said before we said our goodbye.
"Thanks for today." I said to Kisses while I take her to their car.
"No problem. It was fun actually." She said with a smile.
Before she went inside, I said "And Kisses, just always smile okay? It fits you. Remember, we're just here." I smiled and waved at her. curiosity is now evident on her face still thinking what's the purpose of what I just said.
Maybe today is not that bad. Despite of being dumped by the person you like, I started to have the opportunity to talk to people I'm not close to. They're actually fun to be with especially with Kisses. I got to have a chance to know more and not just a person with a pretty face. Maybe I was too focused on what I only like and I never took the time to know the people around me more. I should stop being selective with people. this is my chance now. Maybe this is a sign that I must explore more and talk to people. Socialize is the right word to be exact.
