EDWARD POV

I guess I'm going solo on that night. I tried my luck but I guess I ran out this time. I know I never should have asked her but what can I do? I still have those feelings. I wonder how long will this last. I tried to act normal when I entered the class but I think they still saw right through me, Kisses and Marco. The moment that Kisses asked me, concern is written on her face. Am I that pitiful? or it's just that she knows how I feel because we're on the same page. Liking someone who likes someone else. I'm in no mood to smile but unexpectedly I smiled. Maybe because atleast I saw someone who's genuine. Lunch time and I choose to just stay at the soccer field and be alone. This is one of my favorite sports. It makes me feel at ease whenever I'm nervous or stressing out. As I was playing, I saw Kisses reading as she was walking. I decided to approach her when Dale appreared infront of her. She jump right out of shockness. I chuckled seeing that expression of hers. She's really easy to startle her. I came atleast near them so that I can easily join them after they talk.

"You scared the hell out of me!" She said as Dale just keeps on laughing.
"I can't believe it. you're still that scaredy cat." Dale teased

"Whatever." Kisses pouted which result from me smiling.

"Come on, sorry." Dale said as she hug Kisses.

"Fine. In one condition, could you please accompany me later? I need to buy a dress for the upcoming dance." Kisses explained

Huh I thought she's going with Marco?
"Huh? What about Marco?" Dale asked. Kisses shoulders fell and her smile waivered a bit.

" He cancelled last morning. He has something important to do." Kisses answered.

" He never cancel anything when it comes to you. How important is that?" Dale asked supiciously.

I think now know the reason. I have that feeling but I hope it's not.

"He has a date with Vivoree okay?" Kisses answered sounding a bit annoyed.

"Are you mad?" Dale asked.

"No I'm not. just don't mind it anymore. So are you free?"

"Sorry I can't. We have this family dinner and I promise I won't miss this out." Dale said apologetically

" Is that so? Hmm It's fine. I guess I just have to shop alone." She said with a smile.

"Sorry." Dale said as she side hug Kisses.

"It's fine. Let's go. Lunch time is almost over." Kisses said before they were gone.

I nevere had the chance to approach them. I don't know what to react. I know It's not Marco's fault but he promised and promises shouldn't be broken. A reason why people don't trust that much is because of those who can't keep it. I'm happy for Marco since he's having a progress with the person he likes. But I can't help but to feel how hurtful it is not to be chosen. I just decided to come early in our next class. I tried to read for our next topic but things are keeping me pre occupied. The bell rang and Kisses and Dale entered the room with the others. The class stated until the last period. We all bid goodbyes and went out. I saw Marco and we talked a bit.

"Hey bro! Good news, I'm having my first date with Vivoree today." Marco said with a radiant smile plastered on his face.

"Congrats bro. But I thought you have a shopping spree with Kisses?" I asked. I can't help it. I mean, I heard it so I just better ask him. Curiousity is seen on his face.

"Huh? How did you know?" He asked.

Uh oh...

"You told me before. I just forgot when." I said nanchalantly. I hope he doesn't find out I'm inventing.
