Becca laid on the pile of blankets and kept staring at the dark ceiling not able to sleep. Outside it was pitch black and the sky was covered by a blanket of stars that lit up the world. But even though Becca tried to go to sleep, she just couldn't. All she could think about was the shadow. But when she thought about it, her mind kept trying to figure out the shape to know what it could have been. But now when she thought about it, the shadow was shaped like, like Singh.
But that's crazy, because Singh was probably thousand of miles away.
Becca shook the idea of her head and slightly cursed at herself to think it was Singh. She sighed and got up seeing the sun slowly rising into the sky. She didn't sleep at all through the night but she knew she had to get up because Bliss would wake up in a hour or two later. She sighed and got up and looked over to Bliss, who was sleeping peacefully but when she looked over, she saw the empty pile of rags that Singh slept on. Becca frowned and walked outside.
She looked around and decided to go back into the forest to see if there are any nearby fruit or maybe some small animals since they haven't had any meat in a long time. Becca went back inside and grabbed a long branch that had a sharp tip that if you threw it with a lot of force, it could easily kill something.
Becca held the weapon in one hand while the other, she picked up her bag that she used to carry the berries and fruit yesterday, but it was now empty. But before she walked outside, she looked back at Bliss and smiled at her sleeping form and walked outside towards the forest.
When she arrived in the forest, it was looked like it did yesterday. Becca stopped and looked around not seeing the shadow but everything seemed like a shadow to her since it was still early in the morning and the sky was still a bit dark. She sighed and climbed up a tree knowing it will be a better place to look and catch prey.
Minutes passes before Becca saw a white rabbit come into her view. The small creature didn't know it was being hunted but just started to chew on a piece of grass as she slowly took out the weapon. She aimed it at the rabbit and took a deep breathe and threw it. The stick hit the rabbit and immediately killed it. Becca climbed down and went over to her first catch and bended over on her knees. But as she took the weapon out of the rabbit, a twig snapped and Becca immediately turned around and aimed her weapon. But there in front of her was not a beast. It was Singh.
