Dakota in Dead Mans Chest

Kracken

Dakota's POV

We are back on the black pearl Elizabeth watching over Will who finally started to wake up. "Where's the chest?" is the first thing he asks Elizabeth and I. Rolling my eyes I walked away as Elizabeth told him how James took it to draw Jones crew off. I went up to the helm where Jack was holding his jar of dirt as the Dutchman appeared. The other two joined us on the helm as Jack said he'd handle this.

"Oh! Fish face" Jack calls to Jones who was on the helm of the Dutchman beside us. "Lose something you slimy git?" jack asks as he holds his jar of dirt. "Look want I got" Jack tells him holding up his jar of dirt. "I've got a jar of dirt and guess whats inside it" Jack states. He was not looking where he was going and fell down the stairs.

Some how he didn't break the jar of dirt as we all watched him get up holding it. "Got it, come to negotiate have you" Jack states. But appears Jones had had enough as he ordered his crew to open fire.

"Hard to starboard" I order and the crew reacted immediately following my order. Jack came back to the helm and took control of the wheel from Cotton. We soon got out of range of the Dutchman's cannons. I saw Will talking to Gibbs and he then came telling Jack to turn back so that we could fight.

"Why fight when you can negotiate?" Jack asks him putting his jar on the railing. "All you need is the proper leverage" Jack tells him. We hit a reef or something jerking the ship to a stop. Which knocked Jack's dirt jar off the railing and on to the deck below, where it shattered.

Jack looked at in horror and ran to deck moving the dirt around. While Will order everyone to get away from the sides as he pulled Elizabeth away. "It's the kracken" he tells her and me as I joined them. "Load the guns it'll attack the starboard side first" he told the crew loudly. "I've seen this before" he tells them as they followed his order.

I grabbed a spear along with Elizabeth along with other members of the crew while the others loaded the cannon. That is when the tentacles started to appear and they are huge. Elizabeth stood by my side our spears at the ready and Will told the crew to hold their fire. "Will" Elizabeth and I said as we backed away from the tentacles.

"Hold" Will said.

"I think we've hold fire long enough" Gibbs states.

"Will" Elizabeth says with urgency in her voice.

"Fire" Will ordered and the cannons were fired destroying parts of the kracken's tentacles as they fell back into the water. "Abandon ship" Will says.

"There's no boats" I tell him and he saw there was indeed none. I saw him thinking of an other plan as a barrel rolled by.

"Open the crates, place all the gun powder in a net in the cargo hold" Will tells the crew. They do so immediately. "What ever you do don't miss" he tells Elizabeth handing her a rifle. I took out my sword and pistol standing beside her as a guard.

"I have your back" I tell her as Will left to check on the crews progress. As the crew started to pull up the net the tentacles appeared again. This time hitting all the cannons while dragging crew members off the ship.

From the corner of my eye I saw one tentacle heading for Elizabeth. "Look out" I tell her pushing her out of the way slicing the tentacle with my sword. It recoiled away back out of the window it had appeared. But Elizabeth had dropped the gun when I pushed her.

An other member of the crew grabbed preparing the fire as a tentacle grabbed him. One grabbed my waist lifting me into the air. I shot it with my pistol and it threw me into the water. I landed in the water hard transforming into my mermaid form.

That is when I saw the rest of the kracken as I heard a loud bang from above. The tentacles entered the water with a lot of it blown off. The plan had worked, but now the kracken was pissed. It hasn't noticed me as I swam towards along boat next to the ship.

I watched as Cotton, Monty, Gibbs, Will, Elizabeth, Pintel and Ragetti get into the boat. Then followed them as they rowed away from the Pearl, wandering how they got a boat when they were all gone. When they stopped I appeared behind them as they watched the kracken sink the Pearl. As they started to row again I had already gone back under the water.

But I made sure Will saw me as I went under so he knew I was alive. I saw him tell Elizabeth who looked relieved. They soon reached Tia Dalma's place and Will stayed back to help me out of the water. Once I was dry we both went into the hut where everyone aside from Elizabeth and Tia Dalma looked surprised seeing me alive.
