One way to calm yourself while being anxious is to form an alter ego and think of it. Like Beyonce had Sasha Fierce,her alter ego,which helped her become the person she wished to become. Think of something you'd like yourself to become,some qualities you'd want in yourself. And use this information to form your own alter ego. Use the alter ego to believe in yourself when you feel anxious.
I have yet to try this myself but I am sure it will work,or at least I hope it does. Let me know how it goes if you do try it yourself.
