Back from the Past ( Death the Kid fanfiction )

Chapter 6

 A/N: Hey guys!! I'm still alive!!! ( cue streamers and party music ). I am so sorry for not updating for so long, for a while I was Infected with a huge case of writers block and had to deal with school and home work as I'm pretty sure the majority of you would understand. Again, my deepest apologies for my absence and enjoy this chapter as a token of my apology.

The Next Morning...

"Race you guys up the stairs!!"
"Hey no fair, you can't just give yourself a head start!!"
"S-Sempai, Patty, wait!!"

Kid sighed as Audri and Patty raced each other up the stairs. Liz chuckled as she and Kid walked up after them.

"You know Kid, you should really make a move on her sometime soon."
"W-What?! W-Where'd you get that idea from?!"
"Well, from the way you look at her, act around her, and talk to her. Heck you even call her 'sempai' when the two of you are practically the same age."

Kid looked away from Liz, with his face progressively turning red.

"S-Shut up Liz..."
"But seriously though, hurry up and make a move before somebody else does."
"...Yeah, I know."

Kid and Liz reached the top of the stairs to see Audri and Patty waiting for them.

"There you are you slowpokes, hurry up or we'll be late for class!!"
"Hey Audri!!"

Audri turned around to see Maka and Soul walking up to them from the school entrance.

"Morning Maka, Soul."
"Sup Audri, ready for your first day of school?"
"Sort of, but I think I'll be ok-"
"YAHOO!!!!"

Everyone looks up to see a boy with bubblegum blue hair standing on top of one of the spikes on the school. The boy's appearance intrigued Audri, as she's never come across someone like him. The boy wore a sleeveless black collared shirt with a grey scarf and baggy white pants with black high top boots as well as a pair of black finger-less gloves. The boy's teal eyes gleamed mischievously as he stood high above the students below.

"I AM THE ALMIGHTY BLACK*STAR, HERE TO SURPASS GOD!!!! I STAND HERE BEFORE YOU MY LOYAL SUBJECTS AS I GRACE YOU WITH MY PRESENCE!!!!"
"Black*Star!! Get down from there!!! We're gonna be late again!!"

Audri shifted her attention to a girl with her long ebony hair tied in a pony tail standing underneath him. She was dressed in a sleeveless, beige collared dress with a long opening from her right thigh where she was wearing long black socks and white boots. On her arms, she wore black and grey striped arm sleeves with white bracers, and wore a black scarf around her neck and a grey belt to complete her look. The girl's navy blue eyes looked at the boy with concern. The group made their way towards them as Black*Star jumped off the spike and landed on the ground.

"HAHAHA!!! As if a star like me would be late, everyone else is just early!!"
"Oh Black*Star..."

Audri looked at the pair in curiosity, using her Soul Perception, she can clearly see the clear contrast of their personalities with each other, one was wild and obnoxious as the other held serenity and humbleness. They're complete opposites, but their bond was strong and their wavelengths seem to match each other nonetheless. Black*Star then turned his attention to Audri, who was standing next Kid, and grinned mischievously.

"Who's Kid's new girlfriend?"

Kid turned into a tomato and started to sweat profusely as Audri chuckled gently.

"I'm Audri, Audri Sinclair . I'm kinda new here and Kid and I are just friends."
"Friends huh? Well I'm the Almighty Black*Star and I'm gonna surpass god!!"
"...That's quite a goal you have there."
"You think so huh? Well to prove it to you, let's have a duel!"
"A duel?"
"Black*Star!! You can't just challenge her like that!! I'm so sorry about him, I'm Tsubaki his weapon partner."
"Pleased to meet you, and it's completely fine. If anything I wouldn't mind having a duel."
"H-Huh?!"
"AWW YEAH!!"

Black*Star ran to the one end of the platform as Audri did the same. Everyone took a couple of steps back, watching the match in anticipation, Kid being the most concerned out of all of them. He's seen Audri in fights before when he was younger. But then again, the strength of the opponents she face were a lot different then the ones the have now. Black*Star hops in place with energy and excitement as he prepares himself to fight.

"Are you ready for this? And don't expect me to hold back just because you're new and you're Kid's friend."

Audri raised her eyebrow in amusement and gave a small smirk. Her eyes shone with a hint of determination as she cracks her knuckles and stands calmly.

"Well in that case, give me everything you got."
