When she saw him time slowed to a stop

Hannah was taking her dog  for a walk. Like she did every day. It wasn't unusual.

The sun was shining, it was a beautiful evening. Her exams were done, summer started, and she couldn't be happier.

Suddenly he started barking at something. Hannah quickly removed her earphones and looked at her little friend.

"What's wrong, boy?" she asked, as if the dog was going to answer. It was almost like he did. The dog looked up to his owner and then at a man in the distance.

He was so perfect

Light brown hair, but deep dark eyes. Hannah gasped when his eyes met hers. He grinned and came closer.

"Adam" he said, looking at her. She smiled. "I'm Hannah".

They talked for hours. They didn't even notice when the park emptied and the sun went down.

She knew her life would never be the same

A couple days meeting in the park, laughing and talking about each other; and he finally asked her on a date. It wasn't the most romantic scenario, but it was enough.

"A friend of mine is throwing a party tonight, I want you to come with me". He didn't even ask. It wasn't a question, but a statement; Hannah couldn't say no, and she wasn't about to.

She nodded. "Of course, I'd love to".

She had finally found him

Tonight. It was the night. She couldn't help but keep a dreamy grin on her face while putting her makeup on. Just a little, not too much; she noticed that's how Adam preferred girls.

She stood in front of her building's door. "I'll pick you up at eight" he said. It was seven thirty, but she didn't want to make him wait. Not this one.

Finally, there he was. White shirt, he looked amazing, and Hannah knew he noticed she was looking him up and down.

The one

He opened the door for her. It was nice of him. Maybe the thoughts in the back of her head were wrong, maybe he wasn't a player after all. She shifted uncomfortably in her seat, regretting her decision. Just when she was about to say something , her phone's screen lit up.

"I hope you're ready to be one of us" read a message from a contact only registered as "X".

She looked up, wondering if what she was about to do was right. Suddenly she saw a picture. It was hidden, half was covered. In it, there stood Adam, hugging a blond girl with a baby in her arms. Hannah frowned "A wife" she thought "and a child. And still he flirted with me". All the doubts left her head, and she opened the text. "Of course, sir" she typed, as she reached for the gun in her purse.

The first man she would ever kill
