The Devil of Orbis

The Labyrinth and The slaying of the Minotaur

"Left" Ace said. "No its a right" Skyler replid. "Left!" "NO RIGHT" They argued about this for a moment. Thry had been here for almost two days. They still hadn't figured out how the maze worked. Ace had read Rick Riordan so he knew the oldest part of the maze would be the middle. They were on a crossroad. 3 paths, one with light, one filled with darkness but polished with stone. And the left one with old cobblestone covered with moss. Ace told skyler about how the sword would be in the heart of the maze according to the prophecy. He understood and then they advanced to the left. Then the right, and then the middle, they continued this crazy way of navigation, trying to find the middle.

Ace tripped over a rock and fell down. He felt thirsty. He didn't have the strength to continue. His wings burned weaky, responding to the mood of its owner. Skyler offered to carry him but Ace refused. He rested for a while and then again continued. He forced his wings to burn with a brighter fire, providing them with more light. Ace walked behind Skyler who had now mastered the technique of navigation. They had been stuck in the maze for 6 days or maybe months. The time was different in the labyrinth. Unfortunately faster. They were walking through when they heard a scream of a man in a distance. It was far far away from them but just to be on the safe side, Ace took out his sword and shield. They walked in a braced manner for a long time but then eventually no more noises came, so he sheathed his sword. They had no food and no water. Ace wanted to scream and Skyler felt the same way. " A bonding experience" Ace blurted out. "Yah..Bonding experience" Skyler replied.
They had been walking for more then 10 days. Ace walked behind Skyler. They were walking in an awkward silence until Skyler stopped and told Ace to do the same. Ace unsheathed his sword.  They were on a crossroad of 10 paths. The 6th one had blue light coming out of it. Alot of it. They entered it. Ace felt new strength surge through out his body. A new hope. The light was warm, Ace felt like he had entered a portal, another dimension. His vision was blurry but He did see a dark figure with horns charging towards Ace. Skyler diving to the side. It all happened in slow motion. Ace couldn't move, the figure now close to him. Ace reacted quickly after he was hit by a stone by skyler. Ace jumped higher then ever and dodged the minotaur and it's horns got stuck in the wall. Ace landed and threw his sword towards the Minotaur, cutting off one of his horns. The monster yelled in pain but eventually it got up and started charging Ace again. Skyler decided to stay safe and hid behind a pillar. Ace stabbed the minotaur once again but this time he hit it THERE. The minotaur again fell down and Ace didn't stop. This time he charged ad cut off the minotaurs head. Skyler, after he knew the danger was over, came out of his hiding place and appreciated Ace for his bravery and for the fact, that Ace had saved Skyler's life.
Ace looked tense. He was on the holographic pad writing the password. He had read the rules book and he didn't have that much time. 5 seconds to write the password. He thought about it twice whether he should do it or not. His mind yelled "DON'T"but He had to do it for the sake of humanity, or maybe dwarfity, but He had to. He pushed the button which said START and quickly went to write the password. 4619-KILL. He Remembered. He wrote it in the nick of time and the holographic-laser walls disabled themselves. He ran towards the podium. He took the stone, a ruby encrusted with other metals like gold and diamond, it looked beautiful. He put it inside his pocket and then grappled the sword's hilt quickly. He pulled with his full strenth. He felt it coming out. He pulled harder and yelled "FOR ORBIS!" Just as the sword came out. The laser gates were starting to close. Ace hurried down the steps and tripped a couple of times because of his shoelace. He came out just as the doors closed with mist surrounding him. He lay down flat on the stone floor. He inhaled and exhaled largely for a long period of time. He finally got up and pointed the Orbisican sword towards the roof. Ace's eyes looked like fire. His wings burned brighter than ever, His face had got a scar from the claws of the minotaur.
Ace looked divine. The wings started waving and He started to hover, Skyler got hold of his legs just as he shot up to the roof. The sword pointed upwards, it caused destruction on its way.. It destroyed the stone roof and he shot up. Ace looked like a shooting star. He burned like an asteroid but Skyler had no other choice except to hold on. The sword teared through the ground and sunlight touched Ace's face. He flew higher into the sky and charged towards the city. He got right to the middle and threw his sword with full power facing down towards the ground. The Sword touched the ground and an aurora of blue starting forming around the city covering it like a dome. The sun's colour changed to yellow and a mixture of orange just like the earth's sun. Ace high in the air, fell down to the ground, leo catching him just in time. Leo didn't practically catch him, his older brother did, who looked exactly like Leo but his name was Leolus.
Skyler touched the ground safely because of a parachute he always had on his back. Ace felt and looked miserable, with a sword sheathed in his belt. A crowd gathered around Ace. Ace got up weakly and everyone cheered in a low but encouraging voice. He unsheathed the Orbisican sword and took out the stone. He attatched the stone to a gap in the blade, filling it with more energy. Suddenly Ace's wounds started sewing them selves up. Ace looked at them with a high amount of interest. He grinned weakly and yelled, once again "FOR ORBIS!". He may have looked happy but he actually wasn't. A worry ate him from the inside. He had many questions floating right inside his brain. But he tried to ignore them. A new sense of responsibility surged through him. Everybody picked him up and dropped Ace at Leo's house. Ace was put in bed to sleep. He couldn't. He was planning, already for tomorrow.
