Ali was baffled. Crouching beneath was legs was a being whose existence was not possible at all. Either Ali was dreaming or he was high. But Ali did not even take any medications. He was perfectly healthy. Nor did he drink alcohol and also he hadn't eaten any of the fruits which were believed to contain certain properties to make one dizzy and hallucinate. But Ali had been cautious and was aware of every thing but still his eyes were betraying him. The person before Ali was none another than Ali himself. Just an older version. How was this possible? "Who...who are...are y-you and wha-what do you w-wa-want!" Ali managed to blurt out." Take it easy,bro,there is nothing to panic,why are you so scared."The man calmly replied .
"I-I'm not s-s-scared of y-you,why will I be scared o-of you,I'm scared of no one,I am just co-confused.Just tell me who are you a-and why do you look like an older ver-version of me!" Ali tried to sound confident,thanks to his hot blood.
"Cool it young man,I was once like you. Stop stammering,I will answer all your doubts,just relax,will you?" The old man was normal as if nothing had happened and he was used to meeting his younger lookalike every day.
"I'm okay. Just need to make sense of the incidents which have taken place in the last one hour. It's the first time in my life that I'm not be-been able to join the do-dots and figure it out." Ali was trying his best not to stammer
"Thats the problem,boy. Life is not a science question or a maths sum. It contains deeper secrets that even the most scintillating of scientists can't unravel. There are no equations. It's much more simpler than that. You just don't need to complicate it more. It is already as it is difficuilt."
"How can you say without even knowing me properly that my life is tough. It is very easy and everything is going in my favour."
"Do not try to fool me. There is no such man on the face of this earth who is content with his life,no matter how successful he is."
Ali could not argue with this man. His logic made sense and he looked like a man with a lot of experience. Maybe he was an angel sent by God himself to guide Ali. He shoved that thought into the bin. He believed that everything was scientific and there was no such thing which could not be explained by science. There was fact that atleast 6 people in the world resemble you and look the  same as them . Maybe this old man was feeling   naughty and had thought of fooling Ali by following him and painting that crow white. But the probability of these events occuring simultaneously was very low. "Gosh! Even science is proving itself wrong!" Ali screamed out in frustration.
"Sorry?"
"Nothing,you please explain who the heck are you, I'm a little short of time here. I have had enough of your philosophical crap. Why did you play such an old school prank on me? You better start talking or I will break those old bones of yours." Ali was getting furious now.
"Woah! Woah! Go easy,man. Just sit here and wait-"
Ali didn't know what made him do it. Maybe looking at his old copy reminded of his failures.Maybe all his sad memories,his break-up with Nabiha, his lonely day in a sticky,wet forest,his desperation and anxiety at not making this trip productive,the old man's poor trick... everything came back flooding and he didn't resist the momentum and carried it forward and punched the old man right in the face. Very hard. The old man fell down. Ali regretted it immediately the next moment....
