JEFF'S POV
I drag Hoodie from the table to the living room, and push him onto the couch.
"What the hell was that?" I whisper yelled.
"What? It was just a ques-"I pull him by the collar up close to my face. "(He/She) is new, and emotionally unstable. Haven't you've learned that yet?" I was getting annoyed.
"Dude, I just met (her/him)."
I sighed, rubbing the bridge of my nose. I jerked him, back and close again. "You better watch your back you fucking ass-hat." He nodded.
I let go of him, letting him fall to the couch.
"Good."_~A Few Weeks Later~_
NORMAL POV
These past few weeks have been getting better for you. You've made great friends, especially with Sally who you love to play with despite age.
Jeff has been really nice to you, ever since that night. Maybe a little over protective, but you just concluded it was a friend thing. He's always trying to make you smile, and talks to you whenever he's able. You could say you guys were inseparable.
The demon inside of you was becoming more controllable each day. Every once in a while you would hide in your room to let the demon take over, but Slender had said that wasn't good if you wanted control. You didn't think it was either. It was just hard to not let them out. It gave you migraines.
At the moment you were helping clean up in the kitchen with Jane, who you've also come close to. You dried the last dish, setting it in the cupboard above you. Jane slumped onto the counter, sighing.
"How've you been?" She asked in a soft tone. You two haven't really talked while doing dishes. You just focused on work, and she didn't really have anything to say. You could tell she had wanted to say something though.
"Oh, um, well. You?" You simply answered. "I've been great actually." There was a pause, one of those comfortable pauses though. She seemed to hesitate before speaking again.
"When do you think you'll start going out for kills?" You were surprised by the sudden question. You looked away at the counter. You weren't sure when you wanted to start. You didn't know if you were even ready. You both could feel the tension between you too. You had to say something. "I... I don't-"
"You know that's why we're all here right?" She cut you off. "Because we're killers." You couldn't tell if she meant to be that harsh or not. Was she annoyed? "I know..." you mumbled. "It's just, so... hard, to forget what I did. It hurt." You could feel tears brim the corners of your eyes. "We all have been through it. Jeff, me, even Sally."
You were surprised a child that young would kill innocent people, for no re-
"We don't kill people, for no reason." As if reading your thoughts, Jane spoke this sentence. "Then... why?" You asked, hesitant."We suffered from the way people had treated us. We enjoy watching people who hurt us suffer. It gives us relief, and composure. We wouldn't have to deal with the hurt, knowing well that it would be gone, forever.
"Yes, there were times we would kill others to let go of anger. Grief. But it's not for no reason," Jane put a hand on your shoulder. "remember that, ok?" You nodded. She smiled and left the kitchen.
Your mouth suddenly felt dry. You grab a glass cup and fill it up with water. You sip from the cup, feeling the cold liquid slide down your throat. You felt suddenly relaxed. But... that didn't mean you had a lot to think about.
Was Jane right? Was it time to start... doing what you were destined? You sighed and looked outside. It was getting dark. You decided to sleep on it.
