Huh. For being a farm boy, he sure looks classy. But it's like my father used to say, "Sometimes, looks can be deceiving."
Pepper put her thoughts aside and kept walking alongside Scar after school. They went their separate ways once they reached his farm. Now she had to worry about that architectural project she was assigned. She knew exactly what her and her sisters would do: a diverse "town" of miniature houses. That way, her sisters could build with whatever they wanted, and she could build with bricks, or at least a brick with lines to look like several mini bricks. She hoped this would impress her teacher, and maybe even Scar. That is, if she had the courage to invite him to the showcase that she would present at when her and her sisters were finished.
