Our Bromance (Shoey Fanfiction)

Shane's POV

"I'm sorry, Lisa, this just isn't working out." I gulped as everybody began the New Year countdown

"What do you mean it isn't working out?"

"Lisa, it's over. I'm sorry" I bit my lip and she stared at me with her mouth slightly open

"Are you drunk?" She snapped.

"No, honestly. I just don't think we can do this anymore.

"I'm gonna go. I'll speak to you tomorrow when you've slept it off."

"NO LISA!" I yelled after her but she just span on her heel and sashayed inside Joey's place.

I stayed I the garden with everyone else and Joey ran towards me.

"You do it?" He asked

"Yeah."

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

"She didn't believe me," I sighed, "She thought I was drunk."

Joey laughed a little but then looked up at me with his perfect, emerald eyes.

"WHY did you dump her, anyway?"

I wanted to tell him that it was because I'm gay, but he would probably hate me. When I told my Mom she was cool with it, and Joey wouldn't really mind but then he'd keep his distance just incase I made a move on him.

"Oh.... I just didn't think that we... y'know." I scratched the back of my neck my heart thumping wildly as it did every time I spoke to Joey.

"I'll take it you're gonna need a place to live? You can stay at mine if you want," He flashed a smile, "I've got a spare bedroom in case you... you want to stay."

"Wow Joey, thanks! You're awesome." I replied, smiling back at him.

We stood I silence, staring at each other like crazy people.

He is so beautiful and perfect I every possible way. He had his, so called 'Emo Hair' falling in his eyes. I was tempted to brush it away, but I clenched my fists and let him do it himself.

"So, you know because you live here now, you'll have to help me clean up this mess outside," He raised his eyebrow and gestured towards the empty cans and crisp rappers over the floor.

"Yessir," I joked, "But I might accidentally forget..."

"Shaaane," He crossed his arms and pretended to be angry and of course this made me laugh like crazy.

"Fine, fine,"

All at once the guests began filing out of Joey's place until eventually it was just the two of us.

He didn't need to say anything. We both began picking the litter off the floor and putting them in the many bins around the house.

When we were done, we walked into the TV room and flopped onto the sofa and switched on the television while Joey put on his favourite American sit coms but it got awkward when he began to talk.

"So when are you telling your subscribers than its over between you and Lisa?"

I wasn't prepared for this question.

"Well, I better talk things through with her first and I guess I'll tell everyone straight after."

The second I stopped talking, my phone buzzed, signalling I had a text message.

Lisa:

Shane, were r u? I need u home now we need 2 tlk about this breakup. txt me bk when u get this. xoxo

Shane:

Look, Lisa, you're a great girl, honestly, but it actually is over. I'm going to put on a new video explaining things to my viewers. I'm staying at Joey's.

I gulped and waited for a reply

"So, are you going to film?" He asked

"I need her permission first." I answered as my phone rang

Lisa:

You can make the video as long as you tell me why were through.

I turned my phone around so Joey couldn't see what I wrote.

Shane:

I'm gay, Lisa. Say what you want about me, I don't give a shit. It's who I am and I am NOT ashamed.

I put the camera on my phone and turned it on, now recording.

"Hey guys!" I said to the subscribers, "Happy New Year! I hope you're all having a great year so far. Truth be told, mines going alright, as well."

I smiled at Joey and he gave me and the camera a grin.

"So," I began, "We all had a New Years party here at Joey's and it was awesome so thanks for that Joseph Graceffa. Anyway, things have been a little rough with me and Lisa so I ended it with her. Because... I'm gay."

Joey's head jerked towards me, his mouth open, "WHAT?!"

Shit

"I'm gay, Joey." I repeated, finding it hard to breath.

I tried to stay calm but my head was everywhere. He looked angry. He isn't homophobic. I felt sick.

"Shane, are you teasing me because of my last video?"

Now I was confused.

"Your Minecraft one, right?"

"No, Shane. There's one after that."

I quickly babbled my outro and uploaded my video in super quick time and saw Joey's newest video:

'Did you know,' The title was.

I turned it on as Joey sat beside me looking super embarrassed.

Joeys POV

Oh God. He really hadn't seen it. He really is gay. I guess I was happy how things had turned out, but he still hadn't seen my video yet.

"So, that's why I hated High School." The other me said on Shane's phone, "So, I really need to tell you this. It's super important and I want you guys to know. The thing is, I recently discovered that I'm bisexual. I'm so sorry if you disagree but I can't pretend I'm some one else. May the odds be-"

Shane turned off the video and looked at me with a pained expression on his face.

"Well, this is awkward." We said, at the same time.
