Michael P.O.V.
I yelled until my throat was raw. Every time I called Kendra, her phone would go straight to voicemail. Where could she be? Why isn't her phone on? I slammed the phone back onto the receiver and began to pace the room. Cooper, who had been watching me since the first hour of me calling her from the recliner, stood and put his hand on my shoulder. "Michael, you've just gotten back from the hospital with a concussion. You doing all this screaming, thinking and worrying will make you faint. You need to go lie down."

"Lie down? Lie DOWN?! Cooper, the girl I love, the one who barely trusts me right now because I broke her heart, is missing. And you want me to go lie down?!" "Michael you gotta stop worrying about her. She needs space right now. The way she looked after she left your room at the hospital, I couldn't bring myself to follow her and ask questions. I felt like I'd be intruding. Give the girl some space, will ya?" "No Cooper....I gotta talk to her." He got up out the chair and I shot him a glare. "Alone." I added. "You are in no shape to drive yourself or anyone else anywhere. I don't care if you wanna go in alone but you're not gonna kill yourself while driving there." "The concussion was only minor, Cooper!" "Minor or not, a concussion is a concussion. Now go get in the car."

Cooper shook me awake  and I slid out the back seat, sighing. I walked up to Kendra's apartment door and knocked. A guy slightly larger than me opened the door, leaning casually against the door frame. "Michael," He said smoothly. I furrowed my eyebrows. "Kendra doesn't want to see friends today, I'm afraid." He said quietly, his body almost completely blocking the doorway. He tried to pull off the gentle giant look but I wasn't buying it. I knew him and Kendra were up to something. "Let me see her," "No can do aloha ke keiki," He brushed his shaggy bangs out his face, only to have them fall back into place. I growled and pushed past him with ease, walking to the kitchen.

Kendra turned around with a sandwich in her hand. "Here you go, kaikaina o ko'u." She said gently, before looking into my face. Her eyes narrowed but before she could speak, I started yelling. "I give you another chance, and you hook up with some random guy?! What is wrong with you woman? I thought you were in danger, or hurt or worse! But I come to see you, hanging out with some guy, saying you don't wanna see anyone?! What is that about?!" The force of my anger was making my head pound. Kendra's cheeks turned a bright shade of pink. "Michael! That guy that you think I'm cheating with, that's my brother!"
