"Cooper, I don't wanna see Michael."

KENDRA P.O.V.
Cooper looked at me in shock. Then he shook his head and cracked a slight smile. "Of course you wanna see Michael, Kendra! Come on...." When I didn't follow he looked back in surprise. "He chose Lisa over me and it got him a bed at the hospital. That's his fault. I'm not gonna go comfort the man who broke my heart while I tried to help him be happy again." Tears slid slowly down my cheeks. "I wanted him to be happy......with me....." I whispered before brushing away the tears with the back of my hand. I looked up at Cooper, thinking about how pitiful I probably looked right now.

Cooper's face softened. "Give him one more chance Kendra, please. He made at mistake, now let him fix it." I take in a deep breath and nod. "One more chance at love." I mutter as we walk out the door.

MICHAEL P.O.V.

I messed up so bad. I broke Kendra's heart, I went back to Lisa and now I'm all alone.
(Flashback)

"Oh Michael....how about we have some fun?" I was drunk and didn't care. "Yeah baby. Let's do it." We stripped and I slid into her. "Oh Michael, no matter how many times we fuck, the size of your cock never disappoints." Lisa purrs. I growl as I pound into her. As I came, I moaned Kendra. Lisa's eyes snapped open. She pushed me off of her. "I'm not Kendra! What the fuck Michael?!" "Damn it Lisa, I'm sorry!" She started putting her clothes back on. "Well I'm not that bitch!" "Kendra is not a bitch!" Lisa calmed down suspiciously fast. "Yes.....we all make mistakes, right honey?" She says softly. I was slightly curious as to why she'd calmed down so quickly, but I didn't care. I nod slowly and turn around to grab my pants off the ground when I feel something heavy hit the back of my head. I grunt loudly when I hit the floor and right before I lose consciousness, amist all the pounding in my head, I hear Lisa whisper, "Where's your guardian angel now Michael?". I hear her heels click away as I fade into blackness.
(End of Flashback)

There was a knock on the door. I crossed my fingers hoping it was Kendra. "Come in." It wasn't Kendra, but two police officers. "Mr.Jackson, we came here to ask some questions about your concussion." I nodded. "Who was it? Or do you not know? The department has Ms. Banks in custody right now, since we're pretty sure she did it." I was alarmed. "No! It wasn't her! Release Kendra! I need to see her." "But Mr.Jackson she was walking with a fairly large man who she might've hired to hurt you and-" "Listen to me closely officer, I know who hit me and it wasn't Kendra or Cooper. It was my wife. I want you to release both of them so I can see them." The officer nodded and they left.

A little while later, Cooper walked in with Kendra close behind. "Michael," Cooper said casually and said quietly, "I convinced her to give you another chance, which wasn't easy....don't mess it up." He walked out pushing Kendra gently towards the door. I sighed impatiently as my heart pounded almost as much as my head did. Kendra walked in and leaned against the wall; visibly uncomfortable. She avoided eye contact with me.

When the door clicked shut, Kendra whispered,"Where did I go wrong, Michael? What was she able to do for you that I couldn't? To the point where you had to compare me to her and-" She started fumbling over words one thought wanting to rush out before another. She looked up slowly and I saw how bloodshot her eyes were. "Why did you do this to me?" She finally whispered, her voice cracking slightly at the end.

"Kendra. I'm so sorry. I don't know what I was thinking, I don't know what I was doing, I just don't know anymore. It wasn't you, it was me. I shouldn't have left you like that. I'm sorry. I'm really really sorry. I need you with me. Please." She leaned against the wall and closed her eyes. Tears slid slowly down her cheeks and dripped onto her folded arms. "Please Kendra." She opened her eyes and I was able to see how much I'd truly broken her. I sat up slowly. "I promise I won't hurt you this time. Please forgive me." She took in a deep breath. "One more chance, Michael. Only because I was taught everyone who earns a second chance receives it." And she's gone.
