Chapter six: The body

I had woken up the next morning feeling terrified. I was scared. What if we didnt find the find the key on time? That was the question taking over my mind. Despite my strong feelings and emotions however i still managed to get up for school. It was Friday which ment the weekend was close. I slowly got up and got ready for school. I had decided that day to wear a red hoodie and some some loose blue jeans and have my hair up in a long high pony tail. When i got dressed i went down stairs where my mum and dad were standing in front of me. My mum was wearing a black cardigan and some grey trousers. Her hair was dark brown like a fresh brownie out the oven. She had dark eyes that stood out when she wore something bright. My dad was standing next to her, his hair non existant. He was wearing his usual work cloths. A light blue shirt with a black tie and black trousers. They both stood still staring at me. "Morning, Hunny." Said my mum looking dull.

"Mornin mom." I said looking confused. They had never stoped me before just to say good morning to me, this was odd. "We'v been waiting for you." Added my dad looking as dull as my mum.

"Your dad's right, take a seat." Said my mum, the words barely coming out her mouth.

"Whats going on..?" I asked verry confused as i walked down the stairs. When i reached the bottom of the stairs i went for the brown cumfy sofa and sat down. My parents took a seat at the sofa opposite. "Look, Ella..." Said mum looking upset.

"We're going to tell you somthing that wont put you in the brightest of moods for Friday..." Continued my dad.

"Look can you guys stop with the riddles and tell me straight on whats going on!" I yelled in inpatiance. Then my mum and dad looked at eachother in devistation. "Look dear, its not something we can just say, you dont wana hear this.." Said my mum.

"But you deserv to know." Continued my dad again.

"And thats why we have decied to tell you." Said my mum gently touching my knee to sooth the mood.

"Just bloody tell me already!" I yelled looking at my watch.

"Its about your friend Pete.." Said dad looking over to mum.

"They found him." Said mum. At that point i looked over to her in relife.

"They found him? I knew he was alive!" I said with a bright smile on my face.

"They, um..." Said my dad feeling nervous.

"They found his body." Said my mum with a tear drop coming out her shiny dark eyes. At that point my world stoped. I was in shock. My mum and dad looked at me and started to talk, i took no notice...

It was Saturday afternoon and Alison and Gasmin were walking to Ella's house. They had been welcomed by Ellas mum after they rung the bell. "Oh hello girls." Said Mrs Bradly with a bright smile on her face. "Hey Mrs Bradly, is Ella in?" Asked Gasmin, Alison becide her smiling along. "Shes upstairs." Replied Ellas mum still smiling. Slowly and awkwardly, the two girls entered the house and legged it up the stairs. They walked into Ellas room where they found her curled up in her bed reading a book. "Yo, why you goin all nerdy on us." Said Alison laughing while speaking. Ella continued reading up to the next page. She was wearing her favorite blue zip up jumper and denim knee length shorts. Her bright blonde hair was tied up in a smart high pony tail. She finished her page and looked up at the girls. She saw Gasmin in her black tank top and loose black ripped jeans that didnt match her casual copper sandels. Her short hair lay straight and reached her shoulders. Ella then looked over to Alison who was wearing a plain white blouse with cute colers and a light blue denim skirt. Her outfit had been topped off with a pair of plain white block heels. Her hair in perfect long curls. "Its called reading Ali.." Said Ella eventually after finishing her page.

"What ever, drop the book, we gota talk." Replied Alison looking over to Gasmin in disapointment. Gently Ella sighed and layed down the book. "What is it?" Asked Ella pining out the point she had been disturbed.

"Its about Pete." Added Gasmin. When those words came out Gasmins mouth, Ella sat up and listened atentivly. "What bout 'im..?" Asked Ella curiously.

"Remember when we made that plan? You know the plan that i was gona ask Pete if he was interested in you subtly..?" Asked Alison.

"Yeah.." Replied Ella listening carefully.

"Well we asked.." Said Gasmin looking lost.

"And he said...." Continued Alison looking guilty.

"He said what? Ali! What did he say?" Asked Ella verry couriously.

"He said no. He likes someone else." Said Gasmin clearly and to the point.

"What? Oh my god who...?" Asked Ella.

"We cant say, but the thing is, he isnt interested.." Replied Alison. At that point Ellas face droped and her face turned bright red in embarasment.

"Oh god. This is so embarasing." Said Ella shaking.

"Dont worry bout it we didnt tell Pete! We bought you up subtly!" Said Gasmin trying to give her relief.

"Yeah Ella, me and Gaz are the only people who will ever know bout this. promise." Added Alison.

"Just do one thing though.." Interupted Gasmin.

"What?" Asked Ella listening.

"Just close the Pete chapter and let it go." Said Gasmin.

"Why would you say that?" Asked Ella in disapointment.

"You guys are my best friends! You should be encouraging me not making me close chapters!" Yelled Ella in rage.

"Look Ella! You have no chance with him! How bout you do yourself a favour and find someone a little more in your league!" Replied Alison. At that point Ellas eyes filled up with tears. She always knew that Gasmin, Alison and Pete controlled the group. They would always say horrible things like this to the rest of them but none of them took it to heart. Neither did Ella. Until now. "You know what! You Two and Pete are the worse people i'v ever met in my whole life! To be honest i dont even know why i hang out with you guys!" Said Ella feeling angry but also upset.

"Ella calm down, i was only trying to tell you that Pete is'nt going to go out with you. As your friends we have to inform you of this or you'll make a complete fool of yourself!" Interupted Alison.

"You know what Ali. I should have expected this from you. You are the worse! Do you remember the way you broke Andys heart? The way you cheated on him? You're just a dirty little...." Said Ella burning up.

"Ella! Dont bring Andy into this ok!" Yelled Alison in anger.

"Come on Ali, lets leave." Said Gasmin and she pulled Alison out the room and they both left in silence.

"Ella dear, are you listening?" I heard my mums voice out if thin air. I had come out of my day dream. My head started to hurt and my eyes were sore. I was still coming into the terms of Pete's body. I was in extreme shock. What i said that night made me feel worse. I knew that Ali, Gaz and Pete were all reay mean at times but they were my best friends. They made me feel special. They bought us all together. The truth was we were all lost without the three of them. It was the three of them that bought us together, the three of them who made us drift apart and now it was the three of them who bought us back together. We owed everything to them. "Ella, Ella i know you're upset but..." I heard my mums voice again and automatically, my soal entered this dimention. "Hu, um yeah, whatever i got to um go to school now, i'll see you guys later." I said shaking and before i knew it, i was out the door and found myself walking to school. As i was walking to school, a tear dropped from my eye and i found myself crying.
