"Meow,"
Sue purr as she walks pass me. Her soft tail tickles my legs.
I open my eyes.
"Sue, stop it. I'm sleeping." I say as I move her out of my feet's way.
"Meow." Sue won't stop meowing. When I tell her to stop, normally she would either go to her cat tower or sit quietly.
"Sue, I told you to get out of the way. I need to sleep... wait, no, I need to finish my makeup!" I shout as I hold my lipstick. I notice that Sue hadn't stopped meowing to remind me that I was putting my makeup on.
'Thank you, Sue.' I think.
I take a glance at the clock hanging on the wall. 9:50, 10 minutes before 10:00. I was late.
I quickly finish putting my lipsticks on and wear skinny jeans. I also put my blouse on. Then I take my phone out and text to my friends "Sorry, it will take a while for me to get there.". My friends reply "Okay".
I kneel down and wear my new heels. Sue waves a good-bye with her tails.
"Stay, kitty. Nice girl." I say as I walk out the door. Then I catch the elevator and head down to first floor.
A gentle breeze touches my brown hair. My blue eyes sparkle by the sun. Everyone looks at me. As an SNS star, it's something usual. Look at my skinny jeans and big boobs. Everyone's eyes automatically point towards me.
'If I disappear, everyone would worry. That's how important and famous I am.' I think, being proud of myself.
I take a glance at beggars on the street.
'Creepy bitches,' I think. 'Where's all their damn money? Do they even work? Have a job? I'm never going to be like them.'
But then I stop looking at the beggars and start walking again. I walk as if I'm a model on red carpet. I walk as if I'm a celebrity. I am not a celebrity, but I am close, just one step more.
I, Elena Alswood, the SNS star am never starving for money. 1 Youtube video and followers make life so much better. One selfie, 100 likes. How simple.
I take out my phone and try to text my friends.
Suddenly, my hand drops the phone.
'What was that?' I think, wondering why I did that.
"Something strange today," I think as I pick my phone up. After picking it up, I try to stand up. But I fall. Something had pushed me.
"Who the fuck was that?" I shout. No one answers. "Who was that?" I shout again. Still no answer. All I see are people passing by as if I'm invisible.
"Hey! Did you see who pushed me?" I ask a random man going pass. He ignores me. "Hey! I'm asking you!"
"Never mind. Maybe I've gone weird." I say to myself. I keep walking.
"Elena..."
I hear a faint sound. I can't hear it well.
"Hello?" I ask. No one answers. "Oh right, today's a weird day. There's no use of talking to random things." I say to myself. I ignore it and keep walking.
"Elena..."
I hear it again.
"Who is it?" I yell at the air. "Are you the one who pushed me? Are you trying to say sorry? Is that why?"
"Elena Alswood..."
"Stop calling my name! Shut up and don't follow me." I say. "I'm going my own way."
"But you can't, poor one. Oh, poor one Elena..."
"I said stop! Who are you? Where are you?"
"Oh poor Elena... Poor Elena... My poor darling Elena..."
"Stop! Why am I poor? I'm probably the richest star ever. I have a house, food, and drink, so stop saying it. You've found the wrong person."
"No, I'm sure it's you Elena... I remember when we were young... I clearly remember that day when we went far, far away..."
"Stop! Please!" I yell. "Please!"
The voice stops. I see a blue light.
"A marble... no, a will-o'-the-wisp? I don't get what that is..." I whisper. "Blue, shining marble..."
I follow that light unconsciously. I take a step, another step, another one... and another... and more...
