Ayesha's POV
I gasp in shock, my eyes widen.
Ayyan...?
No! It can't be!
"Ayyan....?" My voice comes out as a breathy whisper.
He looks guilty...or embarrassed, sweat beading on his forehead.
"How could you, Ayyan!" I yell.
He tries to run but Ahmed catches him.
"I-I didn't expect this from you, Ayyan," Ahmed says, disappointment visible on his face.
Yes, Ahmed knows Ayyan because they went on a hangout together to the mall.
Flashback
"Seriously? Why are we here, Ayyan?" I ask, rolling my eyes.
Ayyan suggested that we go hang out somewhere and get to know each other.
If I knew we were going to a mall, I would have stayed at home.
"Look at all the stores!" Ayyan says, pointing at them.
"Ayyan, you are acting like a girl." I say, amused.
"Got it from Anaya," Ayyan says, shrugging.
I chuckle at that.
"Actually, I came here because the food here is is awesome,"He says, emphasizing on 'awesome'.
I sigh in relief.
We then walk towards the food court.
End of flashback
Ayyan doesn't say anything but stares at the floor.
"What will Anaya think when she gets to know?" I ask.
"No-no, don't tell her. Please," He begs.
"Why? You wanna keep her in the dark?" I stare at him. "I can't believe it was my own friend the whole time," I whisper, sadly.
"No... I-ill tell her myself," He replies. His voice cracking.
"You will be able to tell her if only you can reach her," Ahmed says, angrily. "We're going to the police station right now," He adds.
"Ahmed...No" Ayyan begs.
"Ayyan...Why?" I ask, sadly, "Weren't we best friends?" I add.
"I-I am sorry, Ayesha," Ayyan says, facing down.
A tear rolls down his face.
Ayyan is crying.
He is crying for the first time in front of me.
"This is not a joke, it's a serious matter, Ayyan," Ahmed says in a stern voice.
I look at Ayyan sadly.
The guy who always stayed by my side.
Who cared for me and always protected me.
The guy who was like a big brother to me.
Tried to kidnap me?
I start sobbing.
"Ayesha, don't cry," Ahmed says in a soothing voice.
Ayyan looks at me.
The hurt in his eyes.
The broken look on his face.
I trusted him...
"Take him to the police station." I croak.
This time Ayyan doesn't argue.
Deep down, a little part of me says that it can't be Ayyan.
But the truth always hurts badly.
Ahmed's POV
I get the biggest shock ever looking at the person in front of me.
Ayyan.
The guy Ayesha trusted a lot.
I thought I knew him. I thought he was a sweet and sympathetic guy.
But I guess I was wrong. Why would he want to kidnap Ayesha? What would he going doing that?
Could Ayyan really do this?
Thousands of questions flooding through my mind, making me confused.
The only place we could take him now to, would be the police station.
At the police station
I tell the inspector everything that has happened. He informs that it could be more than one person behind this.
He asks for proof which we don't have. Apparently, Ayyan accepts himself he tried to kidnap Ayesha.
To which Ayesha gets up and leaves the room.
I sigh.
The police tells us he will investigate more about it. Till then we have to wait.
I look at Ayesha, sitting in a corner, crying. I walk towards her and sit next to her.
"Everything's gonna be okay," I whisper, putting my hand on top of hers.
"A-Ahmed..." She says and I hum telling her to continue.
"I have a feeling tha-that its not him who t-tried to kidnap me," She adds, looking at me. With grey eyes, which didn't have their usual glow.
My heart ached for her...
"What are you saying, Ayesha. You clearly saw he tried to kidnap you," I say, frowning.
"But-" I cut her off. "I know you still trust him a little deep down but its the truth,"
"I promise you we will find out why he did this,"
She nods and puts her head on my shoulder.
The inspector puts him in the jail and I feel Ayesha clench my hand. I rub her back to comfort her.
A few minutes later, I hear a phone ring.
Ayesha stares at the her phone's screen.
"Who is it?" I ask.
"I-its Anaya," She whispers.
