Chapter 9: ❃Endless Torment❃

You found yourself surrounded by fire again and this time you saw your own figure lying on the floor, coughing badly, desperately calling for help. You heard cracking sounds as you look above you, and saw a large pillar of wood is about to fall over you. You tried to warn other self.. but it was too late.

When the smoke cleared your body disappeared. "What is the meaning of this?!" You asked, panicking. You saw a familiar physique right in front of you.. It was Tadashi, who is now slowly being engulfed by the flames surrounding both of you until all that's left is his cap. 

You were unable to comprehend what is happening, your fingers running through your hair, gripping it all of the strands, trembling in fear.

Suddenly.. voices from your dark past started to linger in your head "You're nothing but bad luck!" the voice of your uncle's wife shouted "FREAK!"

"no.. I'm not..! I didn't want any of this..!" you cried out

This dream has been showing up countless of times. It has been a few weeks now and you still were having this awful dream. You then saw Hiro screaming farther from the fire, he started running towards where your body collapsed."No.. No.. Not you too! stop! You'll get hurt!" You shouted running to him.

"HIRO!!"

Your eyes shot open, sitting up, screaming, breathing unsteadily, placing your hand on your chest, gripping your shirt. You looked around and noticed it was morning. You hear footsteps coming from the stairs and saw the two brothers, their expressions looked like someone had died, they're both out of breath from all the running "Did something happened, [Name]?" Tadashi asked as he quickly walked beside you and held your hand when you were reaching for him, he could see your forehead sweating so much.

"I had...that nightmare again.." You cried, hugging him, burying your face to his chest. You felt a hand rubbing your back in circles "We're here, [Y/N]" Hiro said, trying to comfort you as Tadashi hummed in agreement while stroking your hair, holding you close, calming you.

Days passed by too soon and tomorrow is the day of you moving to your new apartment, you took out the notebook in one of your boxes and started to add some possible equations for the Deflector Shield Bracelet. It sounds pretty geeky but you thought it was a good start of naming it.

Tadashi and Hiro watched you from behind, peering over to see your notes "Deflector shield bracelet?" Hiro read "you're going to make a.. Force-Field Manipulator??" the older brother asked as you nodded

"It's just an idea but.. it's going to help a lot of people.." you explained, smiling at them. You could feel Hiro's amusement, excited about your idea. "Its cool, right, Tadashi?" He asked as he looked at him and Tadashi couldn't help but chuckle "yeah, it is" he replied, ruffling Hiro's hair.
