-Prologue
I sighed and stared at the plastic menu in front of me, containing food items I really wasn't in the mood for right now. I set the menu down and stared at my friend with pleading, brown eyes. "Ace, can we please leave?" I asked him, his crystal, blue eyes peering over top the menu to gaze at me with a teasing look in his eyes. "I really don't have a good vibe about this place, something about the decorations and the look of this place really weirds me out."
He set his menu down to stare at me with amused eyes, "Aww, is the great, almight Delaney scared of a little bitty resturaunt?" he asked me, "someone grab a camera this is just too good. No wait video camera, even better!" he said, a chuckle in his voice.
"Shut up!" I told him, his blue eyes glittering with amusement. "Sometimes I think you really need a girlfriend at times."
"And whys that?" he asked me, leaning forward on his elbows a smirk on his lips.
"Because so you can stop dragging me around to all your fancy little resturaunts, dragging me around the mall, and setting me up with someone I don't need, and.. and-"
"Ah! That's what I need to do for you," he told me, snapping his fingers," My little Delly sitting alone at home, watching re-runs of specials and eating day old pizza," he made a clicking sound with his tongue," that just won't do."
"I don't even do that now!" I interrupted him.
"Yes, but it could lead up to that, which is exactly why we need to find you your soul mate and soon."
"Soul. Mate?!" I asked him, my eyes widening," I don't need someone like that, nor will I ever."
"Oh yes you do," he said, the blue in his eyes sparking up playfully, which scared me a little. Sometimes I actually think he's more of a girl inside than I am at heart.
When I didn't answer him back he answered for me," I need to see the day when i can say your crushes name and your cheeks will turn rosy red, or when your all flushed out and sighing a lot more than usual, or maybe even when you'll even dial your crushes number knowing it will go to voice mail, just to hear his sexy voice at the other end."
I slapped his arm," Dude don't say things like that! Number one it freaks me out, and number two your dream will never become a reality in life."
He scoffed at this and rubbed up my hair," I believe one day it will, my friend...." As he was saying this, there was a long pause between us as I watched his silverly, dressed head as it turned slowly, intently watching something off to the far of the room.
He turned to me with a wicked smile playing across his lips, "and that day might just be this very day."
"What?" I asked him, confusion now playing a role on my brain as I turned around only to see a couple tables with a few old couples sitting at them and a kinda cute brunette, guy who was smiling and serving an older couple a few tables across from us.
I stared at him for a while, trying to figure out his eye color. Was that weird? I dont know, but I am sure that this guy has caught a spark of my attention span. I kept this up until i heard a loud snap in my ears and I jolted back to whatever Ace and I were talking about before.
I slowly turned my attention from the brunette boy and turned back towards Ace's smirking face.
"Someone's in loovvee!" he taunted me in a sing-song voice. "I can see it in your eyes, Delly, I'm your best friend I see things like this." his fingers whirled around in a heart motion, and his lips pursed together. "I give you a week before you get all googly eyed over him."
